Coleman SaluSpa Hawaii

The short answer

For most backyards, the Coleman SaluSpa Hawaii is the inflatable hot tub to buy. It seats four to six, has 140 bubble jets, insulated walls and a cover that Bestway says are up to 40% more energy-efficient than similar tubs, and Freeze Shield to protect the pump and liner when it gets cold. You can set the heat, timer and jets from the Bestway Connect app, so the water is hot when you get home.

Couples and small patios should get the Coleman SaluSpa Miami, which seats two to four for less money. The Bestway SaluSpa Hot Springs is the round 4–6 person tub to pick if you want app control at a lower price, and the Bestway SaluSpa Bali is the big one, with 180 jets for up to seven people. If you live with hard water, the Intex PureSpa 6 Person has a built-in hard water treatment system and is ready for a saltwater kit.

Skip the Hawaii if you want strong, targeted jet massage. Like every inflatable here, it uses air bubbles, not water jets, so it feels like a fizzy warm bath, not a hard massage. It also takes a day or more to heat from cold water, and the pump draws a real chunk of power in winter. If you want hydrotherapy or plan to use it daily in deep cold, save for a hard-shell spa instead.

How we picked: we compared the most popular inflatable hot tubs on Amazon, their listings and what owners report after a season or two, from heating times to leaks and pump problems. We don’t claim hands-on tests. Checked October 2026.

Every pick, explained

Why each one made the list

What each pick does best, where it falls short, and the typical Amazon price when we checked.

  1. 1. Best Overall

    Coleman SaluSpa Hawaii

    BeastScore 91 / 100Typically $540–$600 on Amazon (checked October 12, 2026)

The Hawaii hits the sweet spot of size, insulation and features. The listing says it has 140 bubble jets for up to six people, and its insulated walls and cover are up to 40% more energy-efficient than similar tubs, which matters when you are paying to heat hundreds of gallons. Freeze Shield switches on the heater to protect the pump and liner in cold weather, and the Bestway Connect app controls the temperature, timer, filter and bubbles. MaxHold internal beams keep the walls firm. Owners like that it is warm and stable for its price. The common complaint is slow heating from cold tap water, often a day or more.

    Pros
    • Seats up to six with 140 bubble jets
    • App control for heat, timer and bubbles
    • Freeze Shield and insulated walls for colder months
    Cons
    • Bubbles, not real hydrotherapy jets
    • Slow to heat from cold water
    • Wi-Fi app needs a signal at the back of the yard
  2. 2. Best for Couples

    Coleman SaluSpa Miami

    BeastScore 88 / 100Typically $470–$500 on Amazon (checked October 12, 2026)

The Miami is the Hawaii in a smaller size for less money. It has 120 bubble jets for up to four people, the same insulated walls and cover that are up to 40% more energy-efficient, and the same Freeze Shield for cold nights. A smaller tub also means less water to heat and treat, so it warms faster and costs less to run. It uses a digital control panel on the pump with a Power-Saving Timer you can set up to 40 days ahead. The listing does not mention the Bestway Connect app, so you set it at the tub. It is best for two.

    Pros
    • Lower price and less water to heat
    • Same insulation and Freeze Shield as the Hawaii
    • Easy-reach digital control panel
    Cons
    • Tight for four adults
    • No app control listed
  3. 3. Best Value With App

    Bestway SaluSpa Hot Springs

    BeastScore 87 / 100Typically $470–$550 on Amazon (checked October 12, 2026)

The Hot Springs gives you the Hawaii’s smart features in a simpler round tub, often for less. The listing says it is 77 x 28 inches and holds 242 gallons, enough for up to five adults. EnergySense insulated walls and cover are up to 40% more efficient, Freeze Shield protects it in cold weather, and the Bestway Connect app controls heat, timer, filter and the AirJet bubbles. The set includes the cover, pump, a filter cartridge, a chemical dispenser and a repair patch, so you don’t need extras to get started. Owners like the value. The listing doesn’t give a jet count, and seating is tighter than the Hawaii.

    Pros
    • App control at a lower price than the Hawaii
    • Clear specs: 77 x 28 in, 242 gallons
    • Everything included to fill and go
    Cons
    • Jet count not stated on the listing
    • Five adults is a squeeze
  4. 4. Best for Big Groups

    Bestway SaluSpa Bali

    BeastScore 86 / 100Typically $590–$680 on Amazon (checked October 12, 2026)

The Bali is the one to get when the whole family or a group of friends wants in. The listing says it has 180 bubble jets for up to seven people, the most of any tub here, with the same insulated walls and cover as the Coleman models and Bestway Connect app control. MaxHold beams and a three-layer Tritech wall keep it firm and puncture-resistant. A bigger tub takes more water, more chemicals and more time to heat, so expect higher running costs. Its bullets don’t mention Freeze Shield, so check before you plan to run it through a hard winter.

    Pros
    • Seats up to seven with 180 jets
    • App control for heat, timer and bubbles
    • Insulated walls and cover
    Cons
    • Most water to heat and treat
    • Freeze Shield not listed in its bullets
    • Newer listing, fewer owner reviews
  5. 5. Best for Hard Water

    Intex PureSpa 6 Person

    BeastScore 84 / 100Typically $700–$760 on Amazon (checked October 12, 2026)

Intex’s pitch is cleaner, softer water. The PureSpa has a built-in hard water treatment system that cuts mineral buildup, which the listing says extends the spa’s life, and it is ready for Intex’s Titanium saltwater conversion kit (sold separately) if you want to swap chlorine for salt. Fiber-Tech construction gives a firm, plush seat, and the high-density foam cover improves efficiency by up to 50% by Intex’s numbers. Its heated air bubbles feel similar to the Bestway tubs. The downsides: it costs more than the Coleman and Bestway picks, there is no app, and owners give this model more mixed feedback than the Bestway tubs.

    Pros
    • Built-in hard water treatment
    • Saltwater-ready for a chlorine-free option
    • Firm Fiber-Tech walls
    Cons
    • Costs more than the Bestway and Coleman picks
    • No app control
    • More mixed owner feedback than the Bestway tubs

Quick tips before you buy

Pick a flat, solid spot

A filled tub weighs well over a ton. Set it on level concrete or pavers, never on a deck that isn’t rated for it.

Use a GFCI outlet nearby

Plug straight into a GFCI outlet. Skip extension cords; they are a safety risk and can starve the heater.

Keep the cover on

Most heat escapes from the top. Strap the cover on between soaks and use a timer to heat before you get in.

Test the water weekly

Check sanitizer and pH every week, change filters often and drain and refill every few months.

Quick answers

Are inflatable hot tubs worth it?+

Yes, if you want a warm soak for a few hundred dollars instead of thousands. They heat to 104°F and are easy to set up. They don’t give a strong jet massage and need more care than a hard-shell spa.

Bestway vs Intex: which is better?+

Bestway (including Coleman SaluSpa, made by Bestway) offers app control, Freeze Shield and lower prices. Intex adds hard water treatment and saltwater compatibility. For most people, a Bestway or Coleman SaluSpa is the better value.

Can you use an inflatable hot tub in winter?+

Many can. The Coleman SaluSpa Hawaii, Miami and Bestway Hot Springs have Freeze Shield, which protects the pump and liner in cold weather. Keep the cover on, and expect higher power bills and slower heating.

How long does an inflatable hot tub take to heat?+

Usually a day or more from cold tap water, depending on the tub size and outside temperature. Filling with warmer water and keeping the cover on speeds it up.

How much does it cost to run an inflatable hot tub?+

It depends on your power rates and climate. Insulated walls, a tight cover and a heating timer cut the cost. Expect a bigger bill in winter than in summer.

How long do inflatable hot tubs last?+

Owners commonly get a few seasons from a well-kept tub. Pumps and seams are the usual weak points, so balance the water, keep it off sharp ground and store it dry if you pack it away.

What size inflatable hot tub should I get?+

A 2–4 person tub like the Coleman Miami for couples, 4–6 person like the Hawaii or Hot Springs for families, and the 5–7 person Bestway Bali for groups.
