Black Friday 2026: espresso machine deals
to buy now, wait for or skip (with grinder picks)
Our best buy is the Breville Barista Express (BES870XL). Black Friday is Friday, November 27, and Amazon has not announced its 2026 dates. We checked six espresso machines from Breville, De’Longhi, Philips and Nespresso on October 23, from about $120 to about $700, to see which to buy now, which to wait on and which to skip.
How we picked: we shortlist by Amazon Best Seller rank and number of ratings, then compare published specs. We don't test these products hands-on.

The short answer
When do Black Friday 2026 deals start? Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26), and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet. In past years its Black Friday deals started about a week before Black Friday and ran through Cyber Monday, so early espresso deals could appear around November 20. That is a guess based on past years, not an announcement.
This page is a buying plan for espresso machines sold on Amazon, written on October 23, before the main sale. Buy now: the De’Longhi Stilosa and the Nespresso Vertuo Pop+. Both sit in the lowest price bands, so a Black Friday cut is likely to be small, and waiting risks little but saves little. Wait: the Breville Barista Express and Bambino Plus, plus the Philips 3300 LatteGo. These cost the most, and Breville is a brand that often shows up in big sales, though we cannot promise it will this year. Skip at this price: the De’Longhi Magnifica Start, which costs about as much as a Philips with an automatic milk system.
Don’t wait if your old machine has died or you need a gift in hand early. A machine you can use beats a small saving. Don’t buy a machine you will not use either. If you only drink one or two milk drinks a day, a pod machine or a small manual machine is plenty. If you want a built-in grinder, the Barista Express, the Philips 3300 and the Magnifica Start have one, so that is where the real decision sits. Every price band below was checked on October 23. Prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for today’s number.

Why each one made the list
What each pick does best, where it falls short, and the typical Amazon price when we checked.
- 1. Best Budget Buy Now
De’Longhi Stilosa
BeastScore 88 / 100Typically $140–$160 on Amazon (checked October 23, 2026)The Stilosa is the cheapest way here to get a real portafilter machine with a manual steam wand. The listing says it includes a portafilter, a measuring scoop with tamper and two filters, one for a single shot and one for a double. It also lists a stainless steel boiler. It has no grinder, so you need pre-ground coffee or a separate grinder. Owners often pair it with a hand or electric grinder. At this price band there is little room for a big Black Friday cut, so we call it buy now if you are buying a first machine, and a safe gift.
Pros- Lowest price on this page for a real portafilter machine
- Manual steam wand for milk drinks
- Small footprint for a counter
Cons- No built-in grinder, so budget for coffee or a grinder
- Manual steam wand takes practice
- Fewer controls than Breville’s machines
- 2. Best Pod Machine to Buy Now
Nespresso Vertuo Pop+
BeastScore 87 / 100Typically $110–$130 on Amazon (checked October 23, 2026)If you read “espresso machine” and mean “quick, good-enough coffee,” a pod machine may suit you better than a portafilter. The Vertuo Pop+ is the low-cost entry to Nespresso’s Vertuo line. The listing says it uses hermetically sealed capsules, offers more than 30 coffees and comes with a milk frother. You press a button and drink. The trade-off is that capsules cost more per cup than beans and you are locked to Nespresso’s pods. It is already a low price, so we call it buy now, as long as you accept pods.
Pros- One-touch use with almost no cleanup
- Milk frother included, per the listing title
- Lowest price on this page
Cons- Capsules cost more per cup than beans
- Locked to Nespresso Vertuo pods
- Not a true portafilter espresso machine
- 3. Best Grinder Machine to Wait For
Breville Barista Express (BES870XL)
BeastScore 92 / 100Typically $690–$710 on Amazon (checked October 23, 2026)This is the machine most people have in mind when they search for a Black Friday espresso machine with grinder. The listing says it has an integrated conical burr grinder that grinds straight into the portafilter, PID digital temperature control and low pressure pre-infusion, plus a manual steam wand for milk. One purchase covers grinder and machine. The price is the catch: it is the most expensive pick here, and Breville is a brand that often appears in big sales. We cannot promise a cut, but we would wait for the sale and set a target price before you buy.
Pros- Grinder and machine in one purchase
- PID temperature control and pre-infusion, per the listing
- Manual steam wand for latte art practice
Cons- Highest price band on this page
- Takes practice to dial in grind and dose
- Bigger on the counter than a Bambino
- 4. Best Compact Machine to Wait For
Breville Bambino Plus (BES500BSS)
BeastScore 90 / 100Typically $490–$510 on Amazon (checked October 23, 2026)The Bambino Plus is the easy way into portafilter espresso. The listing says its ThermoJet system reaches extraction temperature in 3 seconds, and its automatic steam wand lets you set milk temperature and texture, which helps if you want a latte without learning to steam by hand. It is about 7.7 inches wide, so it fits a small counter. It has no grinder, though, so add a grinder to the budget. It sits in the middle of the price range and Breville is a regular sale brand, so we say wait and compare the sale price with the Barista Express.
Pros- Automatic steam wand makes milk drinks easier
- Fast heat-up, per the listing
- Very compact for a counter
Cons- No built-in grinder
- Costs about three times a Stilosa
- No pressure gauge or hot water spout, unlike the Barista Express
- 5. Best One-Touch Milk Drinks to Wait For
Philips 3300 LatteGo (EP3347/90)
BeastScore 86 / 100Typically $540–$560 on Amazon (checked October 23, 2026)A fully automatic machine does the grinding, tamping, brewing and milk for you. The listing says the 3300 has a 100% ceramic grinder, six drinks including iced coffee, a touch display and the LatteGo milk system with two parts and no tubes, which makes cleanup quick. It also lists SilentBrew for quieter brewing and an AquaClean filter. This is the pick for people who want a latte at 7 a.m. with no learning curve. Amazon showed no discount on it when we checked on October 23, so we say wait: super-automatic machines are a common Black Friday category, but only the sale will show a real cut.
Pros- Grinder, brewing and milk are all automatic
- Two-part LatteGo milk system is quick to clean
- Six drinks including iced coffee, per the listing
Cons- Less control than a portafilter machine
- Coffee is less hands-on, which some people dislike
- Costs more than the Bambino Plus
- 6. Skip at This Price
De’Longhi Magnifica Start
BeastScore 81 / 100Typically $590–$610 on Amazon (checked October 23, 2026)The Magnifica Start grinds fresh beans at the touch of a button. The listing says it has a conical burr grinder with 13 grind settings, three one-touch recipes (espresso, coffee and Americano) and removable, dishwasher-safe parts. The problem is the milk. It has a manual frother, so you still froth by hand, while the Philips 3300 in a similar price band does milk drinks automatically. If you mostly drink black coffee, it is a fine machine. If you drink lattes, you can find better value. We say skip at this price unless Black Friday pulls it down near the Philips or the Bambino Plus.
Pros- Built-in conical burr grinder with 13 settings
- Simple one-touch black coffee drinks
- Dishwasher-safe removable parts
Cons- Only three one-touch recipes
- Manual frother, so milk drinks are not automatic
- Costs about as much as a Philips with an automatic milk system

- PID temperature control
- Manual steam wand
Quick tips before you buy
On the listing, look at who ships and sells the machine and whether it is new. Some buy boxes on Amazon show used or open-box stock. Pick a new unit from Amazon or the brand.
A Barista Express with a grinder takes more space than a Bambino or a Stilosa. Check width, height under your cabinets and room for the water tank before the sale starts.
A machine without a grinder needs a grinder, and most portafilter machines need a tamp mat, a milk jug and fresh beans. Add these to your total, since they can change which machine is the better deal.
Espresso machines are heavy and slow to ship back. Open the listing’s return details before you buy so you know the window and who pays for a return.
Quick answers
When do Black Friday espresso machine deals start in 2026?+
Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 sale dates yet. In past years its Black Friday deals started about a week before Black Friday. If it repeats that pattern, early deals could start around November 20, but that is a guess, not an announcement.
Are espresso machines cheaper on Black Friday?+
Often, but not always, and nobody knows the 2026 prices yet. Low-cost machines like the Stilosa or Vertuo Pop+ have little room to fall, so the saving is usually small. Higher-priced machines from Breville and Philips have more room. That is why we mark the cheap picks as buy and the expensive ones as wait.
Is Breville on sale on Black Friday?+
We cannot promise it. Breville is a brand that has often appeared in big Amazon sales in past years, but we have no 2026 information. The listing price for the Barista Express and Bambino Plus was at its usual band when we checked on October 23. Set a target price now and compare it with the sale price.
What is the best Black Friday espresso machine with grinder?+
On this page, the Breville Barista Express is the best fit if you want a portafilter machine with a built-in grinder. If you want everything automatic, the Philips 3300 LatteGo has a ceramic grinder and an automatic milk system. The De’Longhi Magnifica Start has a grinder too but a manual frother.
Is a Nespresso machine a better deal than an espresso machine?+
It depends on how you drink coffee. A Nespresso Vertuo is cheaper up front and easier, but capsules cost more per cup than beans and you are locked to Nespresso pods. A portafilter machine costs more up front and takes practice, but it uses any beans. For one quick cup a day, pods are fine.
Should I buy an espresso machine now or wait for Black Friday?+
Buy now if the machine is already in a low price band, like the Stilosa or Vertuo Pop+, or if you need one soon. Wait if it is a premium model from a brand that often joins sales, like the Barista Express. If you buy now and the price drops later, do not count on a refund. Check the return details first.
Is a De’Longhi or a Breville better for Black Friday?+
Neither is always cheaper. De’Longhi covers the low end with the Stilosa and bean-to-cup machines like the Magnifica Start. Breville covers the middle and upper end with the Bambino Plus and Barista Express. Pick by how you drink coffee, then compare the sale prices for that type.
