Black Friday 2026: LEGO deals
which sets to buy now, wait for or skip
Our best buy is the LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 Pista (42235). Black Friday is about five weeks away and Amazon has not announced its dates. We checked six popular LEGO sets, adult and kids, on October 19 to see which already show a real markdown, which to wait on and which to skip.
How we picked: we shortlist by Amazon Best Seller rank and number of ratings, then compare published specs. We don't test these products hands-on.

The short answer
When do Black Friday 2026 deals start? Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26), and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (we checked on October 19). In past years its Black Friday deals started about a week before Black Friday and ran through Cyber Monday, so early deals could appear around November 20. That is a pattern, not an announcement.
This page is a buying plan for six LEGO sets on Amazon, written on October 19. Buy now: the Technic Ferrari 488 Pista, which carries a “90-day low price” badge, plus the Botanicals Hibiscus and the Friends Liann’s Family House, which both show 20 percent off. Wait: the Icons Bookstore: Book Nook and the Icons Jaguar E-Type, two big adult sets with no real markdown yet. Skip: the Star Wars Imperial Remnant AT-AT, which the listing sold through a third-party seller at full price when we checked.
Don’t wait if a set is already marked down and it is on your gift list: LEGO sets that are popular for the holidays can sell out, and a real 20 percent cut is close to what most sales offer. Do wait on large new sets with no markdown, since a first sale is often when they get cut. Be careful with “list price” badges, because one listing we saw showed a strange crossed-out number. Prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for today’s number.

Why each one made the list
What each pick does best, where it falls short, and the typical Amazon price when we checked.
- 1. Best Buy Now
LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 Pista (42235)
BeastScore 92 / 100Typically $60–$70 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The Technic Ferrari 488 Pista is the one set in this guide with a 90-day low price badge on October 19. The listing says the 882-piece model has a V8 engine with moving pistons and functional steering, and it also lists a special LEGO Technic livery in the Forza Horizon 6 video game (a copy of the game is required). It is aimed at builders aged 9 and up, so it works as a teen gift as well as a display piece. A badge like this means the price is at a recent low, not that it cannot fall further, but the gap to a typical Black Friday cut is likely small for a set in this price band. We call it a buy now.
Pros- Carries a 90-day low price badge on the listing
- Working V8 engine and steering for Technic fans
- A good gift for ages 9 and up
Cons- A Technic build can frustrate younger builders
- The Forza livery needs a copy of the game
- A deeper Black Friday cut is possible
- 2. Best Adult Set Buy Now
LEGO Botanicals Hibiscus
BeastScore 90 / 100Typically $50–$60 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)LEGO Botanicals are the easy gift for adults who like crafts, and this hibiscus shows a saving of about 20 percent off the listed price. The listing says the 660-piece set builds five large purple flowers, four opening buds and two young buds in a buildable dark blue pot, and that the petals and leaves can be adjusted. It is meant to be a maintenance-free display, which is why it sells well as a housewarming gift. A 20 percent cut is already close to what most sales offer for LEGO, so waiting is a small gamble. We call it a buy now if it is on your list, and check the seller and date on the listing before you pay.
Pros- About 20 percent off on the listing today
- Adjustable petals and leaves for a custom look
- No watering or upkeep once built
Cons- Not a play set: it is for display only
- Botanicals sets sell out around the holidays
- A bigger Black Friday cut is possible but not guaranteed
- 3. Best Kids Set Buy Now
LEGO Friends Liann’s Family House (42687)
BeastScore 89 / 100Typically $50–$60 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)This is the kids pick. The listing shows a saving of about 20 percent and describes a 946-piece dollhouse with a kitchen, a living area, a bedroom and a skate ramp. It comes with four minidolls, a pet gecko and an axolotl with their own terrariums and food. It is meant for ages 7 and up, so it suits a birthday or a holiday gift for builders who want pretend play more than a model. Like the hibiscus, the cut is already about what most LEGO sales offer. If you plan to buy it for the holidays, buying now saves the stock risk.
Pros- About 20 percent off on the listing today
- Four minidolls and two pets for pretend play
- Playable rooms plus a skate ramp
Cons- Small accessories are easy to lose
- Better suited to pretend play than display
- A bigger Black Friday cut is possible
- 4. Best Adult Set to Wait For
LEGO Icons Bookstore: Book Nook (11379)
BeastScore 86 / 100Typically $140–$160 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The Book Nook is the set to wait on. The listing says the 1,690-piece model opens to reveal a two-story bookstore with balconies, a spiral staircase and reading areas, and that it slides in between your real books. It looks great on paper, but we saw no markdown on October 19, and a large Icons set like this is where a first real Black Friday cut would matter most. If it drops, it becomes the best adult set here. If it does not, little is lost by waiting one week.
Pros- Opens to a detailed two-story scene
- Fits between real books on a shelf
- A big, relaxing build for book fans
Cons- No markdown shown on the listing today
- Costs well over the other adult picks here
- Takes shelf space and long build time
- 5. Best Car Set to Wait For
LEGO Icons Jaguar E-Type (11381)
BeastScore 84 / 100Typically $130–$150 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The listing for the Jaguar E-Type shows a crossed-out “list” price far below the selling price, which is not a real discount, so we ignore it. What the listing does say is that the 1,673-piece model has a fold-back textile roof, working steering and an opening trunk, doors and hood. It is a lovely set for classic car fans, but a set this size usually needs a real markdown to feel like a deal, and we saw none on October 19. Wait and compare it with the Ferrari and the Book Nook when the sales start.
Pros- Fold-back roof, steering and opening parts
- Classic green body with wire-style rims
- A strong display piece for car fans
Cons- No real markdown on the listing today
- The listed “was” price looks wrong and should be ignored
- Large size takes display space
- 6. Skip at This Price
LEGO Star Wars Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4 (75454)
BeastScore 80 / 100Typically $150–$170 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The listing describes a 1,453-piece AT-AT based on the Mandalorian and Grogu film, with poseable head and legs, spring-loaded shooters, an INT-4 escape pod and a speeder bike. It is a big Star Wars set, but on October 19 the offer we saw was shipped and sold by a third-party seller at full price, with no markdown. We skip it. Wait until the sale starts and look for a listing sold by Amazon or LEGO, which is the safer way to buy a gift. If the price falls, it becomes a fair pick.
Pros- Poseable AT-AT with a speeder bike inside
- Large set with lots of play features
- Tied to a new Star Wars film
Cons- Sold by a third-party seller when we checked
- No markdown shown on the listing
- A new set, so a first sale may come later

LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 Pista (42235)

Quick tips before you buy
LEGO is a common target for third-party resellers. Look for “Sold by Amazon” or the LEGO store, and check the return window before you buy.
Technic and Icons sets are built for older builders. Check the age label and piece count so the build matches the person you buy for.
A crossed-out price that is far below the selling price is not a discount. Compare the set with its recent price history on the listing.
If Amazon repeats past years, deals start about a week before Black Friday. Put the sets you want in your cart now so you can act fast.
Quick answers
When do Black Friday 2026 LEGO deals start?+
Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 sale dates yet (we checked on October 19). In past years its Black Friday deals started about a week before Black Friday, so LEGO deals could appear around November 20. That is a guess, not an announcement.
Will LEGO sets be cheaper on Black Friday than they are now?+
Some will. Sets that already show a 20 percent saving or a 90-day low badge have less room to fall. Large sets with no markdown, like the Icons Book Nook, have more. That is why we split these sets into buy and wait.
Is it better to buy LEGO now or wait for Black Friday?+
Buy now if the set is already marked down, is on your gift list and could sell out. Wait if the set is new or large and has no markdown. If you buy now and the price drops, check the return details before you count on an adjustment.
What LEGO sets are best for Black Friday gifts?+
For adults, Botanicals and Icons sets are the easy gifts. For teens, Technic cars are a safe pick. For kids, Friends and Star Wars sets work well. Match the age on the box to the builder.
Are LEGO Black Friday deals real or inflated “was” prices?+
Some are real and some are not. We saw a listing with a crossed-out price far below the selling price, which is not a discount. Look for a price-low badge or compare the set with its listed history instead of trusting the crossed-out number.
Should I buy LEGO from a third-party seller on Amazon?+
We would not, unless the price is clearly lower and the return policy is good. Third-party offers can cost more than the normal price. We skip the Star Wars AT-AT for that reason: the offer we saw was from a third-party seller at full price.
