Black Friday 2026: Nintendo Switch 2 deals
to buy now, wait for or skip

Our best buy is the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle. Black Friday is about five weeks away and Amazon has not announced its dates. We checked the Switch 2 bundles, the Pro Controller, a big Switch 2 game and the older Switch OLED on October 19 to see which are worth buying now, which to wait on and which to skip.

How we picked: we shortlist by Amazon Best Seller rank and number of ratings, then compare published specs. We don't test these products hands-on.

The short answer

When do Black Friday 2026 deals start? Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26), and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (we checked on October 19). In past years its Black Friday deals started about a week before Black Friday and ran through Cyber Monday, so early deals could appear around November 20. That is a pattern, not an announcement.

This page is a buying plan for Nintendo Switch 2 gear sold on Amazon, written on October 19. Buy now: the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle that includes a 3-month Nintendo Switch Online membership. The listing itself says the bundle saves money against buying the pieces separately, and Nintendo rarely cuts console prices deeply. Wait: the Switch 2 Pro Controller and Donkey Kong Bananza, which show only small savings today. Skip: the second, more expensive Mario Kart World bundle and the Switch OLED, which a third-party seller lists above its usual price. The plain Switch 2 console is covered in our PS5 deals guide, so we leave it out here.

Don’t wait if you want a Switch 2 under the tree and stock looks healthy: a console you can wrap beats a small saving, and Black Friday stock of popular bundles can run out. Do wait on accessories and games, where Amazon and other stores tend to run bigger percentage cuts. Skip any listing sold by a third-party seller at a price above Nintendo’s usual one. Prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for today’s number.

Every pick, explained

Why each one made the list

What each pick does best, where it falls short, and the typical Amazon price when we checked.

  1. 1. Best Buy Now

Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle

    BeastScore 92 / 100Typically $540–$560 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)

This is the bundle most families want. The listing says it includes the Switch 2 console, the Mario Kart World game as a digital download and three months of Nintendo Switch Online. It also says the bundle saves money on everything you need to play, which is a saving printed on the listing, not a guess from us. Console makers seldom cut console prices deeply on Black Friday, so a bundle like this is often the real deal of the season. Our call is to buy now, checked October 19, if you want a Switch 2 for the holidays. If Amazon adds a new bundle later, the difference is likely to be small.

    Pros
    • Console, a headline game and online play in one box
    • The listing states a saving against buying separately
    • Works in TV, tabletop and handheld modes
    Cons
    • The game is a download, so you won’t have a cartridge to resell
    • Only 3 months of online play, then a subscription
    • A later bundle could add a different game
  2. 2. Skip This Listing

Nintendo Switch 2 System with Mario Kart World Game Bundle

    BeastScore 82 / 100Typically $570–$590 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)

Same console, same game, higher price. On October 19 this listing showed no markdown and a price noticeably above the first bundle, with no membership mentioned in the bullets we read. The hardware is identical: the listing talks about a 7.9-inch LCD touch screen with HDR and up to 120 fps, plus the interconnected world of Mario Kart World. That is why we skip it. If the cheaper bundle sells out, this is a fallback, but check the exact contents first, because bundles from different sellers include different extras. Don’t pay more for the same box.

    Pros
    • Same Switch 2 hardware and Mario Kart World game
    • Good screen on paper: 7.9" LCD with HDR and up to 120 fps
    • A fallback if the other bundle sells out
    Cons
    • Costs more than the other Mario Kart World bundle
    • No markdown shown on the listing
    • Bundle contents beyond the game are not clear on the listing
  3. 3. Best Accessory to Wait For

    Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller

    BeastScore 86 / 100Typically $80–$90 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)

The official Pro Controller is the comfort upgrade for TV play. The listing names HD Rumble 2, motion controls, built-in amiibo support, a Capture button and a C Button for GameChat. Today’s listing shows a small saving off a higher “was” price, and a second listing of the same controller sits at its full list price. Accessories often see bigger percentage cuts than consoles, but nobody can promise that. Our call is to wait. Buy now only if a gift is due before the sale starts. Cheap third-party pads can cost less, but the official one is the safe pick for compatibility, per the listing.

    Pros
    • Official controller with the full Switch 2 feature set
    • Comfortable for long sessions on the TV
    • Amiibo support is built in
    Cons
    • Only a small saving shows on the listing today
    • Two listings of the same controller sit at different prices
    • Not needed if you mostly play handheld
  4. 4. Best Game to Wait For

Donkey Kong Bananza (Nintendo Switch 2)

    BeastScore 85 / 100Typically $65–$70 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)

Donkey Kong Bananza is a big Switch 2 game with the kind of play that works for kids and adults. The listing describes a 3D platforming adventure where you smash through nearly everything, with Pauline’s voice powers and two-player co-op. We checked on October 19 and the listing showed no markdown. Nintendo’s own games hold their prices well, so the best we can say is that a small Black Friday cut is possible, not likely to be large. If this is a gift, wait for the sale week and buy it then. If you already own a console, there is little risk in waiting.

    Pros
    • Easy to pick up for kids and adults
    • Two-player co-op on one console
    • Strong gift for a new Switch 2 owner
    Cons
    • No markdown shown on the listing today
    • First-party games rarely drop far
    • Sold as a game only, with no controller or extras
  5. 5. Skip at This Price

Nintendo Switch OLED Model (White Joy-Con)

    BeastScore 80 / 100Typically $380–$400 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)

The Switch OLED is a nice handheld, but the October 19 listing is a poor deal. It is sold by a third-party seller, not by Amazon or Nintendo, and it shows no markdown. The listing highlights a 7-inch OLED screen, 64 GB of storage and enhanced audio, which is good for 2021 hardware. The problem is that this price sits uncomfortably close to a Switch 2 bundle that includes a new game. If you want the cheaper path, wait for a real Black Friday price on an Amazon-sold unit and compare it with the Switch 2 first. Until then, skip it.

    Pros
    • Bright 7-inch OLED screen, per the listing
    • Plays the large Switch game library
    • Wide stand for tabletop play
    Cons
    • Listed by a third-party seller at no markdown
    • Costs close to a newer Switch 2 bundle
    • Older hardware that won’t play Switch 2 games

Quick tips before you buy

Check the seller and the return window

Consoles are a common target for reseller markups. Look for “Sold by Amazon” or Nintendo, and open the return details before you buy.

Count what is in the box

Bundles differ. Check whether the game is a download or a cartridge, whether online membership is included and what else comes with the console.

Compare bundles, not percent off

A bundle that includes a game you want beats a larger percent off a console alone. Add up the pieces you would buy separately.

Be ready on the first day

If Amazon repeats past years, deals start around a week before Black Friday. Save the listings to your cart now so you can act fast.

Quick answers

When do Black Friday 2026 Nintendo Switch 2 deals start?+

Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 sale dates yet (we checked on October 19). In past years its Black Friday deals started about a week before Black Friday, so early offers could show up around November 20. That is a guess, not an announcement.

Will the Nintendo Switch 2 be on sale for Black Friday?+

Possibly, but console prices rarely fall far. Bundles with a game or membership are the more common deal. The Mario Kart World bundle we link already shows a bundle saving on its listing, so we call it a buy now.

What is the best Switch 2 bundle for Black Friday?+

For most families it is the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle with 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online. It has the game and online play included. Compare the contents and seller of any other bundle before you pay more.

Is it better to buy the Switch 2 now or wait for Black Friday?+

Buy now if the bundle price is already lower than buying the pieces separately and you want it for the holidays. Wait on accessories and games, where cuts are more common. If you buy early and the price drops, check the return details before you count on an adjustment.

Should I buy a Switch OLED instead of a Switch 2?+

Only if it is much cheaper. The Switch OLED plays Switch games but not Switch 2 games, and the listing we checked was from a third-party seller at a price close to a Switch 2 bundle. At that gap, the Switch 2 is the better buy.

Will Switch 2 games and accessories go on sale on Black Friday?+

Accessories often get bigger percentage cuts than consoles. First-party games like Donkey Kong Bananza tend to get smaller cuts. We cannot promise either, so we mark the Pro Controller and Bananza as wait.

Are Black Friday Switch 2 deals worth it with a subscription included?+

The Mario Kart World bundle includes 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online, which is useful for online play but ends after the trial. Decide whether you will keep paying before you count it as part of the saving.
