Roborock vs Dreame vs ECOVACS vs Shark
Which robot vacuum wins?
Our overall winner is the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2. We took the best-selling robot vacuum from each of the four brands Amazon shoppers buy most and compared them round by round: suction, mopping, corners, battery and upkeep.
How we picked: we shortlist by Amazon Best Seller rank and number of ratings, then compare published specs. We don't test these products hands-on.

The short answer
Our overall winner is the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2. It has 25,000 Pa of suction, a side brush and mop that extend into corners, the longest battery here (up to 231 minutes in Quiet mode) and a dock that empties, washes and dries everything for you.
If mopping matters most, the ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Pro Omni scrubs with a self-washing roller mop instead of pads, and has the strongest suction (30,000 Pa). The Roborock Qrevo S Pro is the easiest to live with: a sealed dust bag that lasts 7–9 weeks and 167°F hot mop washing. The Shark AI Ultra is the simple choice for carpets: no mop, no bags, and a base that holds 60 days of dirt.
Robot vacuum “vs” searches are up sharply this year as Roborock and Dreame take on Roomba. We left Roomba out because the current Roomba listings we checked had weaker owner reviews than these four.

Who wins where
The winner of each category, based on published specs and Amazon owner reviews. Pick the rounds that matter to you.
- Round 1
Suction power
ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Pro Omni winsECOVACS lists 30,000 Pa, Dreame 25,000 Pa and Roborock 18,500 Pa. Shark doesn’t list a number. Higher suction helps most on carpets and with pet hair, but anything above about 15,000 Pa is strong for daily cleaning.
- Round 2
Mopping
ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Pro Omni winsECOVACS uses a 10.6-inch roller that is washed with clean water while it mops, so it scrubs instead of smearing. Dreame and Roborock use two spinning pads, which are great for daily dust and footprints. Shark has no mop.
- Round 3
Corners and edges
Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 winsDreame extends both its side brush and its mop into corners and under furniture edges. ECOVACS slides its roller 0.6 inches past the body to clean along baseboards. Round robots without this tend to leave a dust line.
- Round 4
Battery
Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 winsDreame runs up to 231 minutes in Quiet mode (about 1,679 sq ft). ECOVACS lists up to 200 minutes, Roborock up to 180, and Shark up to 90. All four go back to charge and then finish the job.
- Round 5
Upkeep
Roborock Qrevo S Pro winsRoborock’s dock seals dust in a bag that lasts 7–9 weeks, washes the mops with 167°F water and dries them with warm air. Dreame and ECOVACS also clean their mops. Shark’s bagless base holds 60 days of dirt, but you empty it by hand.
- Round 6
Low furniture
Roborock Qrevo S Pro winsAt 3.8 inches tall, the Roborock glides under many beds and sofas. If your furniture is low, measure the gap before you buy any robot vacuum.
Which one should you buy?
Find your situation below. That's your pick.

- You want one robot that does everything well
- Your home has lots of corners
- You have a big home

- You mostly have hard floors
- Your kitchen gets sticky spills
- You want the strongest suction

- You want to touch it as little as possible
- You have low sofas or beds
- You want a quiet robot

- Your home is mostly carpet
- You don’t need mopping
- You don’t want to buy dust bags

Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2
The best all-rounder: strong suction, reaches into corners, runs the longest and cleans itself.
- 25,000 Pa suction
- Up to 231 min battery
- Extending brush and mop
Quick tips before you buy
Check the gap under beds and sofas against the robot’s height before you buy.
Rubber or anti-tangle brushes stop long hair from wrapping around the roller.
Bags, mop pads and filters add up. Bagless bases cost less to run.
Pick a robot that lifts its mop on carpets, or set no-mop zones in the app.
Quick answers
Is Roborock better than Dreame?+
They are close. In this matchup the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 has more suction, a longer battery and an extending brush and mop. The Roborock Qrevo S Pro is lower-profile and quieter, with a dock that seals dust in bags.
Roomba vs Roborock: which is better?+
Roborock, Dreame and ECOVACS now offer more suction and better self-cleaning docks than most Roombas at similar prices, and the current Roomba listings we checked had weaker owner reviews.
Do I need a robot vacuum that mops?+
Only if you have hard floors. For a home that is mostly carpet, a vacuum-only robot like the Shark AI Ultra is simpler and has fewer parts to clean.
What does Pa (suction) mean?+
Pa (pascals) measures suction pressure. Higher numbers help on carpets and with pet hair, but brush design and navigation matter just as much.
