Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (checked November 5). The five space heaters on this page are already under their three-month Amazon average today, so the cold room can be warm this week.

They are real, but modest. We checked each one against its own three-month Amazon price history on Keepa on November 5, and all five are at their lowest price in three months. None is a record low: the Lasko tower was $47.84 in 2020. The Lasko tower ($10 under) and the Lasko 9" ($9 under) are the clearer drops. The Dreo at $3 and the Dr Infrared at $5 are small savings, so buy those for the fit.

No heater is breaker-proof, because the breaker trips on everything running on the circuit, not on the heater’s brand. A 1500 W heater draws about 12.5 amps, and a typical 15 amp circuit also feeds lights, a computer or a TV. To avoid a trip, plug the heater straight into a wall outlet on a less-loaded circuit, switch off other big loads and use a lower heat setting. The Dreo large-room heater lists 700 W to 1500 W modes, which gives you a lower setting to try.

The circuit is carrying too much at once. A 1500 W heater is about 12.5 amps, and a vacuum, a hair dryer or a computer on the same circuit can push the total past 15 amps. An extension cord or a power strip can make it worse, so use a wall outlet. Move the heater to an outlet on a different circuit, close the room door so it needs less heat, and try a lower setting. If it trips even when it is the only thing on the circuit, or the plug feels hot, stop using it and have an electrician check the outlet.

Most often it is a safety feature or the thermostat. Heaters have tip-over and overheat protection, so one that is not standing level, or has its air flow blocked by a rug, a curtain or dust, can cut out. Clear the space around it and clean the intake or filter as the manual says. A thermostat also switches the heater off when the room reaches your set temperature and back on when it cools, which is normal. Check the timer too: the Lasko tower listing has a 1 to 8 hour timer, and the Dreo large-room lists a 24-hour auto shut-off.

Every plug-in electric resistance heater turns about the same electricity into heat, so a heater that “uses less” is one that draws less power or runs less. At full power a 1500 W heater uses 1.5 kilowatt-hours for every hour it runs. To use less, pick one with a thermostat or an ECO mode that cycles it off at your set temperature, use the timer, choose a lower heat setting and heat a small room with the door shut. The two Dreo heaters list ECO modes, and the Lasko tower has an adjustable thermostat and a timer.

Only if you heat the one room you are in and turn the central thermostat down for the rest of the house. Then you pay to warm one room instead of the whole home. If you run a space heater and leave the central heat unchanged, you pay for both. Whether it comes out ahead depends on your electricity rate and how far you can turn the central heat down, so check your rate and use the thermostat so the heater cycles off.
