Black Friday 2026: TV deals
to buy now, wait for or skip (65", 75", 85")

Our best buy is the TCL QM6K 85". Black Friday is 40 days away and Amazon has not announced its dates. We checked 65, 75 and 85-inch TVs from TCL, LG, Samsung, Hisense, Amazon and Sony on October 18 to see which are worth buying now, which to wait on and which to skip.

How we picked: we shortlist by Amazon Best Seller rank and number of ratings, then compare published specs. We don't test these products hands-on.

The short answer

When do Black Friday 2026 deals start? Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26), and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet. In past years its Black Friday deals started about a week before Black Friday and ran through Cyber Monday.

This page is a buying plan for 65, 75 and 85-inch TVs sold on Amazon, written on October 18, after Prime Big Deal Days (October 6–7) and before the main sale. Buy now: the TCL QM6K 85" and the LG QNED84B 65", both sold by Amazon.com and listed well below their “was” prices. Wait: the Samsung M70H 85", the Hisense U7 75" and Amazon’s own Ember Mini-LED 75", which are new models with little or no real markdown yet. Skip: the Sony Bravia 5 65", which costs more than LG’s 2026 B6 OLED in the same size.

Don’t wait if your old TV has died or you want a new one in place for the Thanksgiving games. A TV you can use beats a small saving. Don’t chase “percent off” badges either: several listings show a very high “was” price, so judge each TV against similar TVs, not against its own discount. Every TV here is new and was sold by Amazon.com when we checked. Prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for today’s number.

Every pick, explained

Why each one made the list

What each pick does best, where it falls short, and the typical Amazon price when we checked.

  1. 1. Best Buy Now

    TCL QM6K 85"

    BeastScore 92 / 100Typically $890–$910 on Amazon (checked October 18, 2026)

The QM6K is where an 85-inch TV stops being a luxury. The listing says it pairs Mini LED backlighting with quantum dots, supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and runs a native 144Hz panel with Google TV. It is sold by Amazon.com, not a third-party seller. The other big-brand 85-inch sets we looked at, from Samsung, Hisense, LG and Sony, cost more. That is why we call this a buy-now price: it is already low for the size, so a Black Friday cut may be small, and the listing showed limited stock when we checked.

    Pros
    • 85 inches for less than most big-brand sets in this size
    • Mini LED with local dimming (TCL Halo Control) per the listing
    • Native 144Hz for sports and gaming
    Cons
    • A 2025 model: TCL’s newer QM7L is a step up
    • Plan on a soundbar, because TV speakers rarely fill a big room
    • The listing showed limited stock when we checked
  2. 2. Best 65" Buy Now

    LG QNED84B 65"

    BeastScore 90 / 100Typically $640–$660 on Amazon (checked October 18, 2026)

LG’s QNED84B is the 65-inch pick for people who want a new TV without paying OLED money. The listing says it uses Mini LED lighting, LG’s A8 AI processor and a panel that runs up to 144Hz with VRR, ALLM and FreeSync Premium, so a PS5 or gaming PC gets the smooth motion it supports. It runs webOS, and the listing says Google Gemini is built in. It is a 2026 model sold by Amazon.com and listed well under LG’s “was” price. That makes it a fair buy now, not last year’s TV on clearance.

    Pros
    • 2026 model, so no “old stock” worry
    • Mini LED and up to 144Hz at an entry price
    • VRR, ALLM and FreeSync Premium for gaming
    Cons
    • It is an LCD TV, so black levels trail an OLED
    • Plan on a soundbar for a living room
    • The “was” price is LG’s own, so compare it with similar 65-inch sets
  3. 3. Best 85" to Wait For

    Samsung M70H 85"

    BeastScore 86 / 100Typically $990–$1,010 on Amazon (checked October 18, 2026)

This is Samsung’s new 85-inch Mini LED, and the listing shows no markdown yet. It says the TV has a Mini LED processor, “supreme” Mini LED dimming and Motion Xcelerator at 120Hz, plus Samsung TV Plus with more than 2,700 free streaming options. Nothing is wrong with it. The issue is timing: a brand-new model may get its first real price cut during a big sale, and it already costs more than TCL’s 85-inch QM6K. Wait and see whether Samsung’s Black Friday price closes that gap. If it does not, TCL is the better value.

    Pros
    • 2026 model with Mini LED dimming at 85 inches
    • Samsung TV Plus free channels built in
    • Sold by Amazon.com
    Cons
    • Costs more than the TCL 85-inch QM6K today
    • Listing says 120Hz, not 144Hz
    • No markdown shown on the listing yet
  4. 4. Best 75" to Wait For

    Hisense U7 75" (75U7SG)

    BeastScore 85 / 100Typically $1,290–$1,310 on Amazon (checked October 18, 2026)

On paper the U7 is the most capable 75-inch here. The listing claims a native 165Hz panel, up to 3,000 local dimming zones and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, plus an anti-glare layer for bright rooms. The catch is the price tag. The listing shows a very high “was” price, which makes the percent off look huge, while a 75-inch TCL QM6K costs noticeably less today. We would not call this a deal yet. Wait for a real Black Friday cut, then compare it with the cheaper 75-inch sets.

    Pros
    • Native 165Hz for gaming, per the listing
    • Up to 3,000 dimming zones and 3,000 nits (Hisense’s figures)
    • Anti-glare screen for bright rooms
    Cons
    • The “was” price makes the discount look bigger than it is
    • Costs more than a 75-inch TCL QM6K today
    • Brightness and zone counts are Hisense’s claims, not our tests
  5. 5. Best Amazon-Made TV to Wait For

    Amazon Ember Mini-LED 75"

    BeastScore 84 / 100Typically $1,490–$1,510 on Amazon (checked October 18, 2026)

Amazon now sells its own TVs under the Amazon Ember name, and this Mini-LED Series is the one Amazon calls its best TV for gaming. The listing says it has 512 dimming zones, up to 1,400 nits, a 144Hz panel with FreeSync Premium Pro and the newest Fire TV software with Alexa+. Amazon sells it and sets its price, so it is a possible candidate for a Black Friday cut, but only Amazon knows. The listing shows no markdown today, and TCL’s 75-inch QM6K costs far less. Wait for the sale before you pay this much.

    Pros
    • Alexa+ voice control, even with the screen off
    • 144Hz with FreeSync Premium Pro for gaming, per the listing
    • Built and sold by Amazon
    Cons
    • No markdown shown on the listing today
    • Costs far more than a 75-inch TCL QM6K
    • 512 dimming zones is fewer than the Hisense U7’s claimed 3,000
  6. 6. Skip at This Price

    Sony Bravia 5 65"

    BeastScore 80 / 100Typically $1,490–$1,510 on Amazon (checked October 18, 2026)

Sony’s Bravia 5 has a good spec sheet: the listing mentions XR Backlight Master Drive Mini LED, studio calibrated modes for Netflix and Prime Video, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and special PS5 picture features. Our problem is the price. The listing shows no markdown, and it costs more than LG’s 2026 B6 OLED in the same 65-inch size. At that gap, most people should pick the OLED or a cheaper Mini LED. If Black Friday pulls the Bravia 5 close to LG’s QNED84B or B6, it becomes interesting again. Until then, skip it.

    Pros
    • Studio calibrated modes for Netflix, Prime Video and Sony Pictures Core
    • Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, IMAX Enhanced and DTS:X
    • PS5-specific picture features
    Cons
    • Listed at full price, with no markdown
    • Costs more than LG’s 2026 B6 OLED at the same size
    • A 2025 model

Quick tips before you buy

Pick the size by distance

A rough rule: 65 inches suits a seat about 7 to 9 feet away, 75 inches about 9 to 11 feet, and 85 inches 10 feet or more. Measure your room before the sale so you can decide fast.

Check who sells it

Look for a listing sold by Amazon.com or the brand’s own store. Third-party bundles with extra cables or protection plans often cost more than the plain TV.

Match the exact model number

Brands sell several look-alike TVs in one year. Compare the model in the title, such as 85QM6K, with the one you researched.

Read the return policy first

A big TV is hard to ship back. Open the listing’s return details before you buy so you know the window and who pays for a return.

Quick answers

When does Black Friday 2026 start on Amazon?+

Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 sale dates yet. In past years its Black Friday deals started about a week before Black Friday and ran through Cyber Monday. If it repeats that pattern, early deals could start around November 20. That is a guess, not an announcement.

Will TVs be cheaper on Black Friday than they are now?+

Nobody knows before the sale. A TV that is already well below its normal price, like the TCL QM6K 85", has less room left to fall. A brand-new 2026 model with no markdown, like the Samsung M70H, has more. That is why we split these TVs into buy and wait.

Is it better to buy a TV now or wait for Black Friday?+

Buy now if the price is already low for the size and the seller is Amazon.com, or if you need the TV soon. Wait if the model is new and has no markdown. If you buy now and the price drops later, do not count on a refund. Check the return details on the listing first.

Which TV size is best for Black Friday: 65, 75 or 85 inches?+

It depends on your seat. As a rule of thumb, 65 inches suits about 7 to 9 feet, 75 inches about 9 to 11 feet and 85 inches 10 feet or more. Some 85-inch sets, like the TCL QM6K, cost close to a 75-inch, so check the price gap before you settle on 75.

Are Black Friday TV deals real or just inflated “was” prices?+

Some are real and some are not. We saw listings with a very high “was” price, which makes the percent off look large even when similar TVs cost less. Compare the TV with others in the same size and tier, not with its own crossed-out price.

Should I buy a 2025 TV or a 2026 TV on Black Friday?+

Buy the 2025 model only if it is clearly cheaper than the 2026 version and still sold by Amazon.com or the brand. Skip it if the older set costs the same or more. The Sony Bravia 5 65" is an example of an older TV that costs more than a 2026 OLED.

Will OLED TVs be on sale for Black Friday 2026?+

We cannot promise it. LG’s 2026 B6 OLED is on Amazon.com now with no markdown shown. The 2026 C6 and 2025 C5 listings we checked were from third-party sellers. If OLED is your goal, set a target price and compare listings sold by Amazon.com.

Keep comparing
