The short answer
For most homes, the Blink Mini 2K+ is the Blink camera to buy. It is a small plug-in camera with 2K video, night vision, improved audio and motion detection, and it sells for around $40. Plug it in, mount it on a shelf or wall, and it works indoors for pets, kids or a front hall. It is the cheapest way into the Blink system, and a good first camera.
Pick by the spot you want to cover. For a porch or a yard, the Blink Outdoor 4 is a wireless camera with up to two years of battery life from AA lithium batteries. For the front door, the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ gives you head-to-toe 2K video and runs on three AA lithium batteries. Need light for a driveway or backyard? The Blink Wired Floodlight Camera has 2600 lumens, a siren and 1080p video, but it needs to be wired in. If you want a cheaper plug-in camera that can also go outside, the Blink Mini 2 works with the Weather Resistant Power Adapter.
Skip Blink if you want video on a screen without any monthly plan, because a lot of the smart features need an optional Blink subscription. Local storage works with a Sync Module 2 and a USB drive. Also skip the battery cameras if you want continuous recording, because they only record when they sense motion. How we picked: we looked at the current Blink lineup on Amazon, read each listing and what owners say, and matched each camera to the spot where it fits. We do not run hands-on tests. Checked October 2026.

Why each one made the list
What each pick does best, where it falls short, and the typical Amazon price when we checked.
- 1. Best Overall
Blink Mini 2K+
BeastScore 92 / 100Typically $30–$50 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The Mini 2K+ is the third-generation Mini, and it is the one most people should start with. The listing says it has 2K video, up to 4x zoom, night vision, improved audio and two-way talk with noise cancellation. It plugs in, so there are no batteries to change, and it takes minutes to set up. It also works as a plug-in chime for a Blink Video Doorbell. Person and vehicle detection need an optional Blink Subscription Plan. You can take it outside with the Weather Resistant Power Adapter, but that is sold separately. The trade-offs are the power cord, which limits where you can put it, and the small body, which is not meant for harsh weather on its own.
Pros- 2K video and 4x zoom for around $40
- Plug-in power means no batteries to change
- Can chime for a Blink Video Doorbell
Cons- Needs a power outlet, so placement is limited
- Outdoor use needs a separate weather-resistant adapter
- Person and vehicle alerts need a paid plan
- 2. Best Cheap Outdoor Option
Blink Mini 2
BeastScore 88 / 100Typically $40–$60 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The Mini 2 is the older sibling, and this listing is the one that comes with the Weather Resistant Adapter in the bundle. The listing says it has 1080p HD live view, color night view with a built-in spotlight, a wider field of view and crisp two-way audio. You can plug it in outside and mount it with the included kit. That makes it the cheapest way to cover a covered porch or a garage door in the Blink range. It costs about the same as the Mini 2K+ with an adapter, and you give up the 2K video. Its power cord still needs to reach an outdoor outlet. And it is not meant to be a full outdoor camera, so keep it somewhere sheltered.
Pros- Weather Resistant Adapter included in this bundle
- Built-in spotlight and color night view
- Wider field of view than the first Mini
Cons- 1080p video, not the 2K of the Mini 2K+
- Needs an outdoor power outlet within cord reach
- Person detection needs an optional paid plan
- 3. Best Wire-Free Outdoor Camera
Blink Outdoor 4
BeastScore 90 / 100Typically $60–$80 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The Outdoor 4 is the Blink camera to buy if you have no power outlet where you need it. The listing says it has up to two years of battery life on the included AA Energizer lithium batteries, 1080p HD live view, infrared night vision and two-way audio. Dual-zone, enhanced motion detection helps it alert faster. It works in a wide range of temperatures, with another Blink listing citing a range from -4°F to 113°F. Note that this listing is the add-on camera, so the Sync Module is not included and must be bought separately if it is your first Blink device. Video is 1080p, which is lower than the 2K Mini and doorbell, and it only records on motion.
Pros- Up to two years of battery life, no wiring
- Weather-resistant for yards, driveways and gates
- Dual-zone motion detection with infrared night vision
Cons- Add-on camera needs a Sync Module bought separately
- 1080p video, lower than the newer 2K models
- Records on motion, not around the clock
- 4. Best Blink Doorbell
Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+
BeastScore 87 / 100Typically $60–$80 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The Battery Doorbell 2K+ is the doorbell in the lineup, and the one that suits renters. The listing says it has head-to-toe 2K video, so you see faces at the top and deliveries at the bottom of the frame. It runs on three AA Energizer lithium batteries for months of use, and installs in minutes without any wiring. For the best in-home ring, you can connect it to existing doorbell wiring, or go fully wire-free and get alerts on your Blink app. Two-way audio uses noise cancellation. This listing is the add-on version, so a Sync Module is required and not included, and the listing shows lower reviews than the cheaper cameras, so check recent comments.
Pros- Head-to-toe 2K view covers faces and packages
- Battery power and no wiring needed
- Can use existing doorbell wiring to ring inside
Cons- Add-on listing needs a Sync Module bought separately
- Reviews are lower than the Minis, so check recent comments
- Batteries still need changing eventually
- 5. Best for Driveways and Backyards
Blink Wired Floodlight Camera
BeastScore 85 / 100Typically $90–$110 on Amazon (checked October 19, 2026)The Wired Floodlight is the Blink camera that does the most for security, and it is the one that takes the most work. The listing says it puts out 2600 lumens of LED light, has a built-in security siren, 1080p HD live view and color night view, and two-way audio. Dual-zone, customizable motion detection lets you set zones so you only get alerts that matter. It connects to existing outdoor wiring, so you may need an electrician if you have none. You can store clips in the cloud with a Blink Subscription Plan, or locally with a Sync Module 2 and a USB drive. It costs more than the other cameras, and the video is only 1080p.
Pros- 2600 lumens and a siren help deter visitors
- Hardwired power means no batteries to change
- Custom motion zones cut down false alerts
Cons- Needs wiring into existing outdoor power
- Costs more than the other Blink cameras
- 1080p video, lower than the 2K models
