Apple’s first foldable ships Friday, October 23, and the accessory aisle is already crowded. Most of it you can skip. The iPhone Duo has two screens, a hinge and a wide shape, so old habits (hard glass on every screen, any MagSafe power bank, any case) can cost you money or even damage the phone.
This guide picks one accessory for each real need, plus a cheaper option where one exists. Every product we link to either names the iPhone Duo on its Amazon listing or matches what Apple’s own specs support. If you haven’t ordered the phone yet, start with our iPhone Duo pre-order guide.
Quick picks
| You need | Our pick | Skip it if |
|---|---|---|
| Case | TORRAS Q3 Spin | You want the thinnest feel |
| Screen protector | QHOHQ inner and outer kit | You want to leave the inner screen bare |
| Stylus | Apple Pencil (USB-C) | You won’t draw or take handwritten notes |
| Wireless charger | Apple MagSafe Charger (2 m) | You only charge by cable |
| Wall charger | Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter | You already own a 60W+ USB-C charger |
| Power bank | Wait for one built for the Duo | You rarely run out of battery |
| Stand | Apple iPhone Duo Folio | Your case already has a stand |
| Wallet | Native Union Active Wallet Stand | You carry a separate wallet |
Best iPhone Duo case
Pick: TORRAS Q3 Spin. The listing says it has a front case, a back case and a dedicated hinge guard, with a 360° magnetic stand and a tempered glass protector in the box. The hinge is the part of a foldable that gets scuffed and dented first, so a case that wraps it matters more here than on a normal phone.

If you want something cheaper, the SPIDERCASE Magnetic lists a hidden kickstand, hinge cover and a glass protector. If you want Apple’s own, the iPhone Duo Case is $79 and the Folio with Kickstand is $129, both with built-in magnets. For more options, see our full guide to the best iPhone Duo cases.
Skip it if you want the lightest phone possible. A stand ring adds bulk, and a slim case such as the PITAKA Aramid trades hinge cover for thinness.
Best iPhone Duo screen protector
Pick: QHOHQ inner and outer kit. It is the one kit that treats each screen correctly. The listing says you get two soft EPU films for the inner screen, two tempered glass sheets for the outer screen and two camera lens protectors. The rule to remember: soft film inside, glass outside. Rigid glass can’t bend with the fold.

For the outer screen alone, Ailun’s 3+3 pack is a cheap option that says “outer screen only” on the listing. Our iPhone Duo screen protector guide has the full comparison, including anti-glare and privacy glass.
Skip the inner film if you love the nano-texture finish. Apple says the inner screen has a scratch-resistant coating and a nano-textured polymer cover, and sources disagree on whether to cover it. iGeeksBlog says film is fine if you want extra protection. ZEERA, an accessory seller, says to leave it bare until Apple or a verified maker confirms a film is safe.
Apple Pencil (USB-C) for iPhone Duo
Pick: Apple Pencil (USB-C). The iPhone Duo is the first iPhone with stylus support, and Apple’s specs list only Apple Pencil (USB-C), for notes, sketches and markup on either display. Apple lists it at $79. Pencil Pro and the 2nd generation Pencil aren’t on the Duo’s support list.

What works today: nothing yet. Apple marks Pencil support as “coming later this year” and hasn’t named the update. Amazon’s listing for the Pencil still lists iPads only, so don’t treat that page as a Duo compatibility check. If you buy now, you are buying for a software update.
Skip it if you won’t draw or sign documents. Also skip the cheap “iPad pencil” lookalikes on Amazon. Apple lists only its own USB-C Pencil for the Duo.
Best MagSafe or Qi2 charger for iPhone Duo
Pick: Apple MagSafe Charger (2 m). Apple says the Duo charges wirelessly at up to 25W on MagSafe or Qi2, and reaches about 50% in around 30 minutes. For that speed, Apple’s footnote asks for a 35W or higher adapter for MagSafe. The charger doesn’t come with one.

If you want a stand, the Belkin Qi2.2 25W 2-in-1 foldable station tilts up to 65° and says it charges while folded. The LISEN Qi2.2 25W 3-in-1 station names the iPhone Duo on its listing and also charges a watch and earbuds.
Check this first: SUPFINE says some magnetic chargers may not work with the Duo fully unfolded, per its case listing. Test your charger folded and unfolded, with your case on.
Skip it if you only charge by cable. Wired charging is faster than any pad.
Best fast USB-C wall charger for iPhone Duo
Pick: Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max. The Duo comes with a 1 m USB-C cable and no power adapter. Apple says wired charging reaches about 50% in around 20 minutes, but only with a 60W-capable or higher adapter and cable. Apple’s listing says this adapter delivers up to 60W dynamically, and it is small enough for a pocket.

The Anker 100W foldable charger with a 5 ft cable is the budget alternative, and it also runs a laptop. Check the cable’s wattage rating if you swap cables, because the 20-minute figure needs a 60W-capable cable too.
Skip it if you already own a 60W or higher USB-C charger. Our best USB-C chargers guide covers the rest.
MagSafe power bank for iPhone Duo (wait for one built for it)
No pick yet. Android Central says wide foldables like the iPhone Duo break the usual power bank formula, because most models are too long for the Duo’s shape. The first one it names is the BMX SolidSafe Duo, a 5,000mAh magnetic bank at $79 with a kickstand. It tops out at 15W wireless, not 25W. The Baseus PicoGo Air AM72 is expected in November, with no price announced.
We couldn’t find a power bank on Amazon whose listing names the iPhone Duo, so we have no Amazon pick. Look for one that does, and for Qi2.2 if you want the full 25W.
Skip it if you rarely run out of battery. Apple quotes up to 24 hours of typical use.
Best iPhone Duo stand or Folio
Pick: Apple iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand. At $129, Apple’s Folio is a thin fabric case with an integrated kickstand that supports a range of angles. Apple says the kickstand snaps back into place, and you can charge with a MagSafe or Qi2 charger on the outside or behind the open kickstand. That makes it easier to watch video on the 7.6-inch inner screen.

If you want a cheaper stand, the TORRAS Q3 Spin has a 360° ring and the SPIDERCASE has a built-in stand. A stand-wallet such as the Native Union below also props the phone up.
Skip it if your case already includes a stand. You don’t need two.
Best MagSafe wallet for iPhone Duo
Pick: Native Union Active Wallet Stand. The listing names the iPhone Duo, holds four cards and unfolds into a stand for portrait or landscape. It uses MagSafe magnets and is easy to detach for wireless charging.

ESR’s MagSafe wallet with adjustable stand holds five cards and lists a stand range of 15° to 160°, but its listing doesn’t name the Duo. Check the fit before you buy it. Keep any wallet on one half of the phone. One that crosses the hinge could stop the phone from folding flat.
Skip it if you carry a separate wallet. A wallet on the back also adds thickness to a phone that is already 11.3 mm closed.
What to skip
- Hard glass on the inner screen. It can’t follow the fold. Use soft film or nothing.
- Cases and protectors made for other iPhones. The Duo folds, so an iPhone 18 Pro case won’t fit. Only buy listings that name the iPhone Duo.
- Apple Pencil Pro and Pencil 2nd generation. Apple’s specs list only Apple Pencil (USB-C).
- A generic MagSafe power bank. Wait for one shaped for a wide foldable.
- A Bluetooth keyboard. We found no keyboard made for the Duo. In landscape, the Duo’s on-screen keyboard splits in two, with half under each thumb, according to iDevice.
- Old 15W wireless pads. They should still charge the phone, but slower than the Duo’s 25W limit.
FAQ
What accessories do I need for the iPhone Duo?
A hinge-covering case, a screen protector for the outer screen (and film for the inner screen if you want one), a 60W-class USB-C adapter and a 25W MagSafe or Qi2 charger. A Pencil, stand and wallet are optional.
Does the iPhone Duo support Apple Pencil?
Yes, but not yet. Apple lists Apple Pencil (USB-C) support for both displays, arriving in a software update later this year. Other Pencil models aren’t listed.
Does the iPhone Duo come with a charger?
No. The box has the phone and a 1 m USB-C charge cable. You need to supply a power adapter.
Do my old MagSafe and Qi2 chargers work?
Apple says the Duo supports MagSafe and Qi2 charging at up to 25W, so your current chargers should work. Cases, screen protectors and power banks are the items that depend on the Duo’s shape, so buy those new.
Do I need a keyboard for the iPhone Duo?
Probably not. We found no keyboard accessory made for it, and the on-screen keyboard splits in landscape on the inner display.
Bottom line
Spend money on the things that touch the phone: a hinge-covering case, the right protector for each screen and a charger that hits Apple’s speeds. Add the Pencil when Apple ships support, not before.
