Black Friday 2026: air purifier deals
stop dust and allergens from $40, with the Honeywell HPA5200B at its lowest price ever

Black Friday is November 27, and Amazon has not announced its own sale dates yet. We checked each air purifier below against its own three-month Amazon price history on November 8. The Honeywell HPA5200B is at its lowest price ever, the two Sharks and the Levoit are at their lowest price in three months, and the Levoit’s saving is only $5, so we say plainly which deals matter.

How we check a deal: we look up every product’s Amazon price history. It makes this page only if it is at or near its lowest price in three months, at least 10% under its three-month average, sold or shipped by Amazon.com (we name any other seller) and well rated by owners. Brand-new models with few reviews yet are labelled. We don’t test these products hands-on.

The short answer

When do Black Friday 2026 air purifier deals start? Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26), and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (checked November 8), so we are not guessing at one. The four air purifier drops below are live on Amazon now, about three weeks before the big weekend, and every one was sold and shipped by Amazon.com when we checked. If dust, pet dander or a stuffy bedroom is the problem today, you can fix it today.

The short answer. Dusty air, pet dander and a stuffy bedroom usually start with dust that has settled in carpets, bedding and soft furniture, plus an HVAC filter that is overdue. Both have free fixes: change the HVAC filter, vacuum with a sealed HEPA vacuum or one with a clean filter, wipe surfaces with a damp cloth, wash bedding in hot water and keep pets off the bed. A purifier then handles what is still floating in the air: dust, pet dander, pollen and smoke. Its one big rule is size: buy for the room’s square feet, because a purifier that is too small barely changes the air. The winner here is the Honeywell HPA5200B at $132.00, its lowest Amazon price ever and $55 under its three-month average of $187.12, rated on its listing for 360 sq ft at 4.8 air changes an hour. For a small bedroom or nursery, the Shark Clean Sense HP102 at $119.00 is $47 under its average. For pets and a low filter bill, the Shark NeverChange HP153 at $199.99 is $34 under, with washable debris screens. For a desk or a dorm on a budget, the Levoit Core Mini-P at $39.99 is the cheapest, but only $5 under its average. Don’t buy the Honeywell for a desk or a dorm: the Levoit does that job for about $92 less.

What other roundups miss. Most “Black Friday air purifier deals” lists show a discount against a list price the purifier rarely sells for, and they rank by price without saying how big a room each one covers. We checked each purifier here against its own three-month Amazon price history on Keepa on November 8, and all four are sold by Amazon.com. Only the Honeywell is at its lowest price ever: it first hit $132 on October 30 and has held it since, after about $220 in early August. The Shark HP102, the Shark HP153 and the Levoit are at their lowest price in three months, but none is at its all-time low, and the Levoit’s saving is small, only $5. The HP153 is a timed deal on its listing, so its price may not last. Prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for today’s number.

Best Black Friday air purifier deal: the record low for dust and allergies

One purifier at its lowest Amazon price ever, and our winner. The Honeywell HPA5200B at $132.00 is $55 under its three-month average. Its listing gives HEPA plus a carbon pre-filter, an auto mode with an air quality indicator, and an AHAM Verifide rating for 360 sq ft at 4.8 air changes an hour (about 1,700 sq ft at once an hour). It is the pick for a dusty living room, a large bedroom, allergy season and smoke smell, and the best mix of coverage, filtering and saving on this page.

Fixes: dust, pet dander and smoke smell in a room too big for a small purifier. It is AHAM Verifide for 360 sq ft at 4.8 air changes an hour, and the listing says it refreshes the air at least once an hour in rooms up to 1,700 sq ft. At $132.00 it is at its lowest Amazon price ever, first hit on October 30 and held since, and $55 under its 90-day average of $187.12. Pick it for a large room, allergy season or smoke. Best Black Friday air purifier deals for pets and bedrooms: two Shark drops

Two Sharks at their lowest price in three months, and neither is a record low. The HP102 at $119.00 is $47 under its average and is the bedroom pick: up to 500 sq ft at one air change an hour, a live air quality display, four fan speeds and dimmable lights. The HP153 NeverChange at $199.99 is $34 under its average and is the pet-hair pick: washable debris screens, up to 650 sq ft at one air change an hour, and a listing claim of up to $150 saved on filters in the first 5 years. Compare coverage on the same footing: the Honeywell’s about 1,700 sq ft at once an hour is roughly two and a half times the HP153’s 650, so the Sharks win on filters and quiet bedrooms, not on raw airflow. The HP153 is a timed deal and may not last.

Fixes: dust and dander in a bedroom or nursery. The HP102 is Shark’s small-room purifier. The listing says its Anti Allergen NanoSeal filter traps 99.98% of large, small and micro-sized particles (tested at 0.1 to 0.2 microns) and protects against dust, dander, allergens and smoke. CleanSense IQ shows the air quality on the display as it changes, there are four fan speeds, and the listing calls it ultra-quiet with dimmable lights for sleep. It cleans up to 500 sq ft based on one air change per hour, and the listing names bedrooms, laundry rooms, mud rooms and nurseries. At $119.00 it is at its lowest in three months and $47 under its 90-day average of $166.93. Pick it for a bedroom. Don’t pick it for a big open room: on paper the Honeywell is rated for about 1,700 sq ft at the same one change an hour, and costs only $13 more.

Fixes: pet hair and dander without a filter bill. The listing says NeverChange long-lasting filtration can save up to $150 on replacement filters in the first 5 years alone, compared with replacing filters on the top 10 competitor units under $150. Its Anti-Allergen NanoSeal traps 99.98% of particles at 0.1 to 0.2 microns, and its Debris Defense screens pull in large particles like hair, dust and dander so they do not build up on the HEPA filter; you vacuum, wipe or rinse the screens clean. It purifies up to 650 sq ft at one air change per hour (AHAM AC-1) and has CleanSense IQ and dimmable lights. At $199.99 it is $34 under its 90-day average of $234.26, but it only ties the same price it had from about August 23 to September 8. Pick it for pets and a low filter bill. Don’t pick it for the most air per dollar.

Best cheap air purifier for dust: a $40 pick for a desk or dorm

One purifier for a tight budget and a small space: the Levoit Core Mini-P at $39.99. It is the cheapest here and at its lowest in three months, but only $5 under its average and not its all-time low. The listing gives a pre-filter, a main filter, a sleep mode and aromatherapy, and no room size, so keep it to a desk, a dorm or a small bedroom and buy the Honeywell for anything bigger.

Fixes: dust in a dorm, on a desk or in a small bedroom on a $40 budget. The listing says the Core Mini-P’s pre-filter and main filter capture lint, hair, pet dander, fine airborne pollutants and smoke particles, and that it helps neutralize smoke, odors and fumes. It lists an auto-off display, a sleep mode and aromatherapy, and says it runs more quietly than a whisper. The bullets we checked give no room size, so check the coverage figure on the listing before you order: this is sold as a small purifier for a small space. At $39.99 it is at its lowest in three months, but only $5 under its 90-day average of $45.07. Pick it as the cheapest way to start. Don’t pick it for a living room or a large bedroom, where the Honeywell is the better deal.

Quick tips before you buy

Fix the dust source first, it costs nothing

Most room dust is not floating: it sits in carpets, bedding, curtains and soft furniture and gets stirred up when you walk, make the bed or run the heating. A purifier only catches what is in the air, so start with the free fixes. Change the HVAC filter if it is overdue (check your system’s manual for the size and how often), and run the fan setting so air keeps moving through it. Vacuum with a sealed HEPA vacuum or one whose filter you keep clean. Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth instead of a dry duster, which throws dust back into the air. Wash bedding in hot water every week if the label allows, and keep pets off the bed if dander is the problem. Keep indoor humidity around 30% to 50%, because damp air feeds dust mites and mold. Then add a purifier for what is left floating. One more thing: a purifier recirculates the air in the room and does not bring in fresh air, so for a stuffy bedroom, open a window or run a fan as well.

Size the purifier to the room, and compare on the same footing

A purifier that is too small for the room barely changes the air, so match the rating to your square footage. Listings use different yardsticks, so line them up. The Honeywell’s listing says AHAM Verifide for 360 sq ft at 4.8 air changes an hour, and about once an hour in rooms up to 1,700 sq ft. The Shark HP102 lists 500 sq ft and the HP153 lists 650 sq ft, both at one air change an hour. The Levoit bullets we checked give no room size. For allergies and smoke you want the air cleaned several times an hour, so divide the one-change figure by about five: on paper that is roughly 100 sq ft for the HP102 and 130 sq ft for the HP153 (our arithmetic from the listings, and taller ceilings mean less), against 360 sq ft for the Honeywell. For a bedroom over about 130 sq ft or an open living room, the Honeywell is the one that fits. For price, it is $13 more than the HP102, $68 less than the HP153 and $92 more than the Levoit. We compare listings and prices; we do not test hands-on.

Pets, smoke and mold: what a purifier can and cannot do

A purifier catches pet dander and fine hair that float in the air, but it does not pick up hair on the floor or the sofa, so keep vacuuming. Brushing pets outside, washing pet bedding and keeping the bedroom door shut do more than any filter. The HP153 listing says its washable Debris Defense screens pull in large particles like hair, dust and dander before they reach the HEPA filter. For smoke, the Honeywell listing says its HEPA filter captures smoke particles and its carbon pre-filter reduces odors, and the Levoit listing says it helps neutralize smoke, odors and fumes. None of the bullets we checked give a carbon weight, so do not expect a small filter to clear strong smell from a whole house. For mold, a purifier can trap spores floating in the air, but it does not stop mold growing on a wall, a ceiling or a window sill. Find the leak or the damp, dry it, clean the surface and keep humidity under 60%.

What to skip

Skip a purifier that is too small for the room: a unit meant for a desk will not clean a living room, however cheap it is. Skip ionizers and ozone generators sold as air cleaners: the EPA says ozone is a lung irritant and advises against ozone generators for the home. Skip paying full price for replacement filters: check the replacement filter’s price and how often the maker says to change it before you buy, because a cheap purifier with an expensive filter costs more over time (the HP153 listing makes this its selling point, and the Honeywell and Levoit bullets we checked give no filter price). Skip judging a deal by a “percent off” badge: compare today’s price with the three-month average on a tracker such as Keepa. Skip relying on a purifier alone for mold on a wall or hair on the floor. And skip burning candles or incense in the room you are trying to clean, because they add smoke particles.

Quick answers

When do Black Friday 2026 air purifier deals start?+

Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (checked November 8). The four air purifiers on this page are already under their three-month Amazon average today, and the Honeywell HPA5200B is at its lowest Amazon price ever, so these drops are live now. Prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for the current number.

Do air purifiers help with dust?+

Yes, for dust that is floating in the air, but not for dust that has settled. The Honeywell listing says its HEPA filtration captures over 99.99% of airborne dust, pollen, pet dander and smoke, and the Shark listings say their filters trap 99.98% of particles at 0.1 to 0.2 microns. Dust on shelves, floors and bedding stays until you clean it, and a purifier will not do that. The best order is: change the HVAC filter, vacuum, wipe with a damp cloth, wash bedding, then add a purifier sized to the room.

What size air purifier do I need?+

Match the purifier’s rated room size to your room: multiply length by width in feet and compare. A purifier rated for more than your room cleans the air faster, and one rated for less barely helps. Listings use different air-change rates, so compare them at the same rate. The Honeywell HPA5200B lists 360 sq ft at 4.8 air changes an hour (about 1,700 sq ft at once an hour). The Shark HP102 lists 500 sq ft and the HP153 lists 650 sq ft, both at one air change an hour. The Levoit bullets give no room size. For a bedroom with allergies or smoke, aim for about five air changes an hour: on paper that is the Honeywell for rooms up to 360 sq ft, and roughly 100 to 130 sq ft for the Sharks.

Do air purifiers help with pet hair?+

They help with the fine pet dander and small hair that float in the air, not with hair on floors and furniture, so you still need to vacuum. The Shark HP153 listing says its washable Debris Defense screens pull in large particles like hair, dust and dander so they do not build up on the HEPA filter, and the Honeywell listing says its HEPA filtration captures pet dander. The Levoit listing mentions lint, hair and pet dander too. Put the purifier in the room where the pet spends the most time, leave some space around it so air can flow, and brush the pet outside. We do not test hands-on, so this is a comparison of listings.

Do air purifiers help with allergies?+

They can reduce the airborne particles that trigger symptoms, such as pollen, dust and pet dander. They are not a medical treatment, and they do nothing for allergens that have already settled on surfaces, so pair one with cleaning and ask a doctor about your symptoms. Pick a purifier rated for your room at a high air-change rate, keep windows shut on high-pollen days and change filters on the maker’s schedule. The Shark listings note that “allergens” means non-living matter, and the Honeywell listing says its HEPA filtration captures over 99.99% of airborne dust, pollen and pet dander.

Is the Honeywell HPA5200B worth it?+

At $132.00 it is at its lowest Amazon price ever (first hit October 30), $55 under its three-month average of $187.12 and well under the roughly $220 it cost in early August. Amazon’s own “Typical price” label shows $192.79. On the listing it has HEPA plus a carbon pre-filter, an auto mode with an air quality indicator and an AHAM Verifide rating for 360 sq ft at 4.8 air changes an hour. It is worth it for a living room, a large bedroom or any room where you want strong coverage. It is not worth it for a desk or a dorm, where the $39.99 Levoit does the job, and the bullets we checked give no noise level or filter price, so read the listing. We do not test hands-on.

Do air purifiers help with smoke and mold?+

With smoke, yes, within limits: a HEPA filter captures smoke particles, and a carbon filter helps with odor. The Honeywell listing mentions wildfire smoke and says its carbon pre-filter reduces odors, and the Levoit listing says it helps neutralize smoke, odors and fumes. None of the bullets give a carbon weight, so for strong smell, ventilate and fix the source too. With mold, a purifier can trap spores in the air but it cannot stop mold from growing. Fix the moisture, clean the surface and keep indoor humidity under 60%. A purifier is not the fix for mold on a wall, a ceiling or a window sill.
