Black Friday 2026: carpet cleaner deals
5 price drops for pet stains, urine odor and dingy carpet, with the Shark CarpetXpert at a record low

Pet stains and urine odor come back when the spill soaked into the carpet pad and was never pulled out, so the free fix is to blot, use an enzyme cleaner and extract. If the carpet still looks dingy, five carpet cleaners are under their three-month Amazon average today, and the Shark CarpetXpert is at its lowest price ever. Black Friday is November 27, and Amazon has not announced its own sale dates yet. We checked each machine against its own price history on November 8: one record low, two lows for three months, and two that are under their averages but not three-month lows, so we say plainly which drops matter.

How we check a deal: we check every Amazon.com price and compare it with the list price. These savings are against list prices, not record lows, and we say so on the page. We don’t test these products hands-on.

The short answer

When do Black Friday 2026 carpet cleaner deals start? Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26), and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (checked November 8), so we are not guessing at one. The five carpet cleaners below are under their three-month Amazon average now, about three weeks before the big weekend, and every one was sold and shipped by Amazon.com when we checked, so there is no need to hold off if pet stains, urine odor or dingy carpet before the holiday guests arrive is the problem today.

The short answer. A stain or a pet smell that keeps coming back was never pulled out of the carpet pad. A spill soaks through the fibers into the pad, and if you only treat the top, the stain wicks back up as the surface dries. The free fix: blot, don’t rub, with a clean cloth, rinse with cold water, use an enzyme cleaner for pet urine, then extract or blot the liquid out. If the carpet is still dull or the spot returns, a machine that sprays and sucks the water back out is the next step, and these are the drops worth a look. The winner is the Shark CarpetXpert with StainStriker (EX201) at $199, its lowest Amazon price ever and $62 under its three-month average of $261.89: an upright for whole rooms with a built-in stain remover for spots. Get an upright for wall-to-wall carpet and rugs: the BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam 4123 at $279.99 adds a steam pretreater, and the Hoover SmartWash+ at $199.99 is the automatic one. Get a portable for spots, stairs, the couch or the car: the BISSELL Little Green Pet Pro at $139.99 is our pet pick, and the Little Green HydroSteam at $199.99 is for old, set-in spots. Don’t buy an upright for one spot on one couch: the $139.99 portable does that job.

What other roundups miss. Most “Black Friday carpet cleaner deals” lists show a discount against a list price the machine rarely sells for. We checked each one here against its own three-month Amazon price history on Keepa on November 8, and all five are sold and shipped by Amazon.com. The Shark CarpetXpert is at its lowest Amazon price ever. The BISSELL 4123 is at its lowest in three months, and the Little Green Pet Pro ties its three-month low. The Hoover SmartWash+ and the Little Green HydroSteam are under their averages but are not three-month lows: each was about $180 in early August. We say so on each card. The BISSELL 4123, the Pet Pro and the Little Green HydroSteam carried Amazon’s “Limited time deal” badge, and prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for today’s number.

Quick tips before you buy

The free fix for pet stains and urine odor

A stain or smell that returns is usually still in the pad. Urine soaks through the fibers into the pad, and when the top dries it wicks back up. Work in this order. Find the spots first: a cheap UV flashlight in a dark room shows old urine, and your nose finds the rest. Blot a fresh spot with a clean white cloth or paper towels, pressing down, not rubbing, because rubbing spreads the stain and frays the fibers. Rinse with cold water and blot again. For pet urine, use an enzyme cleaner made for it, leave it for the time on the label, then pull the liquid out with towels or an extractor. Use cold water first on a fresh stain, since hot water can set some stains, and avoid ammonia-based cleaners on urine. If you have pet hair as well, vacuum thoroughly before any wet cleaning: a carpet cleaner is not a vacuum, and wet hair clumps in the brush and the hose.

Upright or portable?

An upright cleans a whole room in passes, like a vacuum, and suits wall-to-wall carpet and big rugs. The Shark, the BISSELL 4123 and the Hoover are uprights, and the 4123 lists a 1-gallon clean tank and the Hoover an 8-foot hose and a Stair Tool. A portable is a small tank-and-hose machine for spots, stairs, couches and the car. The Little Green Pet Pro and the Little Green HydroSteam are portables, and the HydroSteam lists a 64 oz clean tank and a 5-inch Tough Stain Tool. The Shark is the exception that does both, because the listing says its spot and stain remover extends from the upright. If your problem is the whole living room before holiday guests, get an upright. If it is two spots on the couch and the car seat, a $139.99 portable is the better buy.

Steam, heat and drying time

On paper, the listings split into two camps. The BISSELL 4123 and the Little Green HydroSteam list HydroSteam: the 4123 has a built-in steam pretreater that loosens sticky stains, and the Little Green has a Steam mode for upholstery and tile and grout, plus a Wash mode for enzyme-based stains like pet accidents. The Hoover lists HeatForce Technology to help dry floors faster, and the Little Green HydroSteam lists upholstery drying in about 30 minutes. The Shark and Pet Pro bullets we checked do not mention heat or steam. The listings pitch steam for oily, set-in messes, but cold water first is still the rule for a fresh urine spot. However you clean, run a fan and open a window, and keep people and pets off damp carpet until it is dry.

What to skip

Skip renting a machine for one room, or for one stain, when a $140 portable does spots and stays in the closet for the next accident. Skip extra shampoo: more solution does not clean better, and leftover soap leaves a sticky residue that attracts dirt, so measure to the label and finish with a clear-water pass. Skip soaking wool rugs and other natural-fiber rugs: they can shrink, bleed or stain when wet, so read the care tag and use a light, dry method or a professional cleaner. Skip rubbing a fresh stain, because it spreads it. And skip judging a deal by a “percent off” badge: compare today’s price with the three-month average on a tracker such as Keepa.

Quick answers

When do Black Friday 2026 carpet cleaner deals start?+

Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (checked November 8). The five carpet cleaners on this page are already under their three-month Amazon average today, and the Shark CarpetXpert is at its lowest Amazon price ever, so these drops are live now.

Why does a pet stain or urine smell keep coming back?+

Because the spill soaked through the carpet fibers into the pad and was never pulled out. If you only clean the top, the stain wicks back up as the surface dries, and the smell can return in damp weather. Blot (don’t rub) a fresh spot, rinse with cold water, use an enzyme cleaner made for pet urine, then extract or blot the liquid out. Old spots may need a few rounds. A machine that sprays and sucks the water back out does that last step better than towels.

What is the best carpet cleaner for pet urine and odor?+

On paper, two stand out. The Shark CarpetXpert is the whole-room pick: the listing says StainStriker removes odors such as pet urine and smoke at the source, and it is at its lowest Amazon price ever at $199. The BISSELL Little Green Pet Pro is the spot pick at $139.99: the listing names the Urine Eliminator formula and pet stain removal. The Little Green HydroSteam lists a Wash mode for enzyme-based stains like pet accidents. We do not test hands-on, so this is a comparison of listings and prices.

Upright or portable carpet cleaner?+

Get an upright if you have wall-to-wall carpet or big rugs and want the whole room to look fresh. Get a portable if the problem is a few spots, the stairs, a couch or a car seat. The Shark is the in-between: it is an upright with a built-in spot and stain remover that extends from the machine, per the listing. A portable costs less and stores in a closet. An upright cleans more floor per pass but is bulkier. Neither replaces a vacuum, so vacuum first, especially if you have pet hair.

Is it worth buying a carpet cleaner or renting one?+

It depends on how often you clean. Rental day rates vary by store, so check yours, and add the shampoo you buy on top. A rental also means a pickup and a return before the stain is dry. If you have pets or kids and expect a few spills a year, a $140 portable or a $199 upright can pay for itself after a few rentals, depending on your store’s rate, and is ready the moment an accident happens. If you clean carpet once a year, renting can still make sense. Either way, the free steps first: blot, cold water and an enzyme cleaner for pet urine.

Can I use any shampoo in a BISSELL, Hoover or Shark?+

Check the manual before you pour anything in. The listings point to specific formulas: the Hoover says to pair it with Hoover cleaning solution, including a Pet formula, and the Little Green Pet Pro is meant for BISSELL’s Triple Action PET PRO OXY Spot & Stain formula with Urine Eliminator. The Shark listing describes its own StainStriker system, which fuses two formulas on contact. Some makers warn that other formulas can foam too much or affect the warranty, and too much of any shampoo leaves a sticky residue that attracts dirt. Use the amount on the label and finish with clear water.

Is the Shark CarpetXpert worth it on Black Friday?+

At $199 it is at its lowest Amazon price ever, $62 under its three-month average of $261.89, and $50 to $100 under the $250 to $300 it cost from August to late October. The listing says it is an upright for carpets and area rugs with a built-in StainStriker spot and stain remover and three tools, and that it removes odors such as pet urine and smoke at the source. It is worth it if you want one machine for whole rooms and the odd stain. If you only need a couch or the car cleaned, the $139.99 BISSELL Little Green Pet Pro is a better fit.
