Black Friday 2026: cordless vacuum deals
5 real drops for a vac that keeps cutting out

Black Friday is November 27, and Amazon has not announced its own sale dates yet. We checked each cordless vacuum below against its own three-month Amazon price history on November 6. Two Sharks are at their lowest price ever, two more vacuums are at their lowest price in three months, and the Bissell is under its average but not a three-month low, so we say plainly which drops matter.

How we check a deal: we check every Amazon.com price and compare it with the list price. These savings are against list prices, not record lows, and we say so on the page. We don’t test these products hands-on.

The short answer

When do Black Friday 2026 cordless vacuum deals start? Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26), and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (checked November 6), so we are not guessing at one. The five cordless vacuum drops below are live on Amazon now, three weeks before the big weekend, so there is no need to hold off if your current vacuum is the problem.

The short answer. A cordless vacuum that keeps shutting off, cutting out or losing suction is usually a clogged filter, a full bin, hair wrapped around the brush roll or a worn-out battery. The first three are free to fix: empty the bin, rinse the filter and let it dry fully if the manual says it is washable, and cut the hair off the brush roll. If it still dies in minutes on a full charge, the battery is the likely cause, and that is the fix that costs money. The best deal here is the Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal Plus (IZ382H) at $199.98, its lowest Amazon price ever and $119 under its three-month average of $319.34. For a smaller home or a tight budget, the Shark Freestyle Max at $129.99 is the best value and the BLACK+DECKER POWERSERIES+ at $99.99 is the cheapest way to replace a tired vacuum. Pick the Bissell PowerClean FurGuard if long hair keeps wrapping your brush roll, and the Shark PowerPro Flex Pet Plus only if you want that Pet Plus version. Don’t buy the IZ382H for a small home or a small budget: the Freestyle Max or the BLACK+DECKER does the job for $70 to $100 less.

What other roundups miss. Most “Black Friday cordless vacuum deals” lists show a discount against a list price the vacuum rarely sells for. We checked each vacuum here against its own three-month Amazon price history on Keepa on November 6, and every one is sold by Amazon.com. Two are record lows: the Shark IZ382H (first hit on November 4) and the Shark IZ388H (first hit on November 1). The Freestyle Max and the BLACK+DECKER are at their lowest price in three months but still above their all-time lows. The Bissell is $38 under its average but is not a three-month low: it dipped to about $180 for a few days around October 8, and we say so on its card. Prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for today’s number.

Best Black Friday Shark cordless vacuum deals: two record lows

Two Shark sticks at their lowest Amazon price ever. The IZ382H at $199.98 is our top pick: $119 under its average, with Dirt-Reveal lights and a HEPA filter on the listing. The IZ388H Pet Plus at $229.99 is $113 under its average, but it costs about $30 more, so choose it only for the Pet Plus version.

  1. SAVE $119Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal Plus Cordless Vacuum, Java (IZ382H)

Shark PowerPro Flex Reveal Plus Cordless Vacuum, Java (IZ382H)

The IZ382H is Shark’s cordless stick with FloorDetect, which the listing says adjusts brush speed to the floor type, plus Dirt-Reveal lights, LED headlights, a HEPA filter and a self-cleaning brushroll that the listing says fights hair wrap. At $199.98 it is at its lowest Amazon price ever, first hit on November 4, and $119 under its 90-day average of $319.34 (its highest was $379.99). Pick it for the biggest saving and the most complete kit: it turns into a hand vacuum, and the listing includes crevice and upholstery tools. Don’t pick it for a small home or a tight budget, where the Freestyle Max or the BLACK+DECKER costs $70 to $100 less.

    • Checked November 6, 2026

The IZ388H is the Pet Plus version of Shark’s PowerPro Flex stick. The listing gives it HyperVelocity suction, a MultiFLEX wand that bends to reach under furniture, FloorDetect, a self-cleaning brushroll for pet hair with no hair wrap, a HEPA filter and up to 50 minutes of runtime (measured at the handheld in standard mode). At $229.99 it is at its lowest Amazon price ever, first hit on November 1, and $113 under its 90-day average of $343.55. Pick it if you want the Pet Plus version in Tea Green. Don’t pick it for the price alone: the IZ382H is about $30 less, and the bullets we checked do not list the pet tools or Dirt-Reveal lights, so read the “in the box” list first.

Best Black Friday cheap cordless vacuum deals

Two vacuums for a smaller home, a lighter lift or a tight budget, both at their lowest price in three months. The Shark Freestyle Max at $129.99 is a lightweight cordless upright and $42 under its average, the best value on the page. The BLACK+DECKER POWERSERIES+ at $99.99 is a cordless stick and the cheapest vacuum here, $19 under its average.

You save $42 (24% off the 3-month average)
    • Lowest in 3 months
    • Checked November 6, 2026

The Freestyle Max is a cordless upright, not a stick that converts to a hand vacuum: the listing describes a floor vacuum with a charging dock that keeps it standing, and the bullets we checked do not mention a handheld mode. It lists two brushroll speeds, LED headlights, a larger removable dust cup and a weight under 7 pounds, which Shark calls its lightest cordless upright. At $129.99 it is at its lowest price in three months and $42 under its average of $172.83. It swung between $150 and $200 since August, and its all-time low is $126.99 from December 2025. Pick it for light, everyday floor cleaning. Don’t pick it for stairs, couches or car interiors.

The BLACK+DECKER POWERSERIES+ is a 20V cordless stick vacuum with LED floorhead lights and a bagless dust cup, and the listing title says lightweight and up to 44 minutes. The bullets add AUTOSENSE, which changes suction power to suit the floor, cyclonic filtration to help keep the filter clean and an anti-tangle brush bar for hair. At $99.99 it is at its lowest price in three months and $19 under its average of $119.51, after sitting at $110 to $130 since August. Its all-time low is $91.72 from November 2024. Pick it as the cheapest way to replace a vacuum that keeps dying. Don’t pick it for a big home or heavy pet hair.

Best Black Friday cordless vacuum deal for hair wrap and pet hair

One vacuum for long hair and pet fur that keeps wrapping the brush roll: the Bissell PowerClean FurGuard at $229.99. It is $38 under its average, but it is not a three-month low, because it dipped to about $180 for a few days around October 8. Choose it for the self-cleaning brush roll, not for the discount.

    • Checked November 6, 2026

The Bissell PowerClean FurGuard is a 280W cordless vacuum that stands on its own. The listing says its FurGuard self-cleaning brushroll prevents hair wrap and clogging from pet and human hair up to 16 inches long, and that it turns from a stick into a handheld or high-reach vacuum. It lists up to 50 minutes in low mode or 13 minutes in turbo, a removable battery and a FurFinder tool for pet hair on couches and stairs. At $229.99 it is $38 under its 90-day average of $268.11, but it is not a three-month low: it dipped to about $180 for a few days around October 8. Pick it if hair wrap is your problem. Don’t pick it if you want the lowest price on this page.

Quick tips before you buy

Try the free fixes before you buy

A cordless vacuum that keeps shutting off, cutting out or losing suction is usually blocked or full, not broken. Empty the dust bin, clean the filter (rinse it and let it dry fully only if the manual says it is washable), clear hair and debris from the brush roll and the wand, and check the manual for other places a blockage can hide. Some vacuums also stop when the motor gets hot, so let it cool and try again. If it still dies within minutes on a full charge, the battery is likely worn, and that is the one fix that costs money.

Stop hair wrapping the brush roll

Long hair and pet fur wrap around a brush roll and slow it, so the vacuum cleans worse and can sound strained. Cut the wrapped hair off with scissors every few uses. The listings for the two Sharks (self-cleaning brushroll), the Bissell (FurGuard, hair up to 16 inches long) and the BLACK+DECKER (anti-tangle brush bar) all say they are built to fight hair wrap. That helps, but still check the roll after a hairy rug.

Match the vacuum to the floor and the job

The Freestyle Max is a cordless upright, and the bullets we checked do not mention a handheld mode, so it suits floors, not stairs, couches or the car. The Shark sticks and the Bissell turn into a hand vacuum for above-the-floor cleaning. Runtimes are “up to” figures: Shark’s 50 minutes is measured at the handheld in standard mode, and the Bissell lists 50 minutes in low mode but 13 minutes in turbo. Treat them as the best case.

Buy from Amazon.com and recheck

All five were sold by Amazon.com when we checked on November 6. Prices move daily, so tap “View on Amazon” for today’s price and compare it with the three-month average on a tracker such as Keepa, not with a “percent off” badge. Read the return details on the listing too.

What to skip

Skip no-name sticks that advertise “60KPa” or similar huge suction numbers, especially from third-party sellers: a big number on a listing is not a brand you can call about a warranty or a replacement battery. Skip paying full price for a Dyson V8 or V11 right now: on Keepa on November 6 both were above their three-month Amazon averages, and the Buy Box was held by third-party sellers, not Amazon.com. And skip buying any new vacuum before you have tried the free fixes above.

Quick answers

When do Black Friday cordless vacuum deals start?+

Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday sale dates yet (checked November 6). The five cordless vacuums on this page are already under their three-month Amazon average today, and two Sharks are at their lowest price ever, so you can buy one this week.

Why does my cordless vacuum keep shutting off?+

Most often it is blocked or full. A full dust bin, a clogged filter or a brush roll jammed with hair can make a cordless vacuum stop, and some vacuums also shut off when the motor gets hot. Empty the bin, clean the filter as the manual says, cut the hair off the brush roll, clear the wand and let the vacuum cool down. If it still shuts off within a few minutes on a full charge, the battery is probably worn.

Why does my cordless vacuum keep cutting out?+

If it cuts out partway through a clean, the usual suspects are a battery that can no longer hold a charge, a blockage or a hot motor. Charge it fully and, if the battery is removable, take it out and put it back firmly. Then clear any blockage and clean the filter. If it runs for only a few minutes from a full charge, the battery is worn, and a replacement battery (if your brand sells one) or a new vacuum is the fix. The Bissell on this page lists a removable battery.

Why is my cordless vacuum losing suction?+

Loss of suction is almost always a blockage or a dirty filter, not a dying motor. Check four things in order: the dust bin (empty it), the filter (clean or rinse it as the manual says and let it dry fully), the brush roll (cut off wrapped hair) and the wand or hose (look for a clog). Check that the dust cup is seated firmly too. These steps cost nothing. If suction is still weak and the battery runs out fast, a worn battery is the next suspect.

Why does my Shark cordless vacuum keep getting clogged?+

Hair and debris are collecting where the air has to pass: the brush roll, the floor nozzle, the wand or the filter. Empty the bin, cut the hair off the brush roll and look through the nozzle and wand for a blockage, then clean the filter as the Shark manual says. A full bin makes it worse. The PowerPro Flex listings (IZ382H and IZ388H) describe a self-cleaning brushroll that fights hair wrap, and the Freestyle Max listing says it reduces clogs and blockages, but any vacuum still needs the routine cleaning.

How do I stop hair from wrapping around my vacuum?+

Cut the hair off the brush roll with scissors every few uses, because wrapped hair slows the roll and cleans worse. To reduce the problem, choose a vacuum with a self-cleaning or anti-tangle brush roll. On this page that means the Shark IZ382H and IZ388H (self-cleaning brushroll), the Bissell FurGuard (the listing says hair up to 16 inches long) and the BLACK+DECKER (anti-tangle brush bar). The listings say they fight hair wrap, but we have not tested them hands-on.

Is Shark or Dyson better for pet hair?+

There is no one answer, because it depends on the model, and we do not test vacuums hands-on. On paper, the Shark IZ388H Pet Plus and IZ382H list a self-cleaning brushroll for pet hair, and Dyson also makes pet-hair models that cost more. On price this week, the Sharks win: both are at their lowest Amazon price ever, while the Dyson V8 and V11 were above their three-month averages on Keepa on November 6.
