Beats announced a Pokémon x Beats Pill special edition on October 13, 2026, made with The Pokémon Company International. It goes on sale on Thursday, October 15, 2026. SoundGuys reports sales start at 8 a.m. Pacific.
The price is $149.99. That is the same price as every other Beats Pill, so you are not paying extra for the Pokémon look. The catch is where you can buy it. In the US it is sold only by Apple and Target.
Inside, nothing changes. This is the same Beats Pill that came out in 2024, with new art on the outside and a few extras in the box.

Specs come from Beats' Beats Pill product page. Beats says the special edition keeps the standard Pill's features and specs.
What is new
The art. Pikachu is printed in bright yellow on the front grille. Mimikyu, a ghost-type Pokémon that dresses up as Pikachu, sits next to it in gray. Silver lightning bolts finish the look. Beats calls the color "Electric Yellow & Shadow Gray".
The charms. MacRumors and iThinkDiff report three custom charms: a Poké Ball, the Beats "b" logo and Pikachu's lightning bolts. SoundGuys says they hang from the removable lanyard.
The box. SoundGuys says the speaker ships in interactive Pokémon-themed packaging. Beats' product images show a special box too.
That is the full list. There is no new chip, no new driver and no new app feature.
What stays the same
The Beats Pill is a solid speaker on its own. It runs up to 24 hours per charge. It is IP67, so it can handle dust and a dunk in water. Over a USB-C cable it can play high-resolution lossless audio from a laptop, and it can also charge your phone. It works with both iPhone and Android, with one-touch pairing on each. You can link two Pills in Amplify Mode for more volume or Stereo Mode for left and right sound.
One thing to know: Beats does not include a power adapter. You get a USB-C cable, so use a phone charger you already own.
Which should you buy?
- Buy the Pokémon edition if you or your kid are Pokémon fans and you want the design and charms. It costs nothing extra, so there is no penalty for picking it.
- Buy the standard Beats Pill if you just want the speaker. It is the exact same hardware, it comes in more colors, and it is easier to find, including on Amazon.
- Look at other Beats Pill special editions if you want something different but not Pokémon. Beats has sold other designs before, such as the Kim Kardashian edition, and some are still on Amazon.
- Pick another speaker if you mainly use Android and want deeper app controls, or you need more bass for big rooms. The Pill is built to be simple.
- Wait if the Pokémon edition is sold out when you look. Restocks are not confirmed, and Beats has not said how many it made. Do not pay a reseller markup for the same speaker inside.
