October 2026 has more phone launches than any month this fall. The trouble for US readers is that most of them won't be sold here.

Below is the full calendar, followed by a short section on each phone: key specs, price, US availability and whether you should care. We mark anything that is a leak or a tip, not an official announcement.

iPhone Duo: the one that matters in the US

Apple's first foldable is the biggest US launch of the month.

Dates: "Get Ready" opens October 12 in the Apple Store app. Pre-orders start Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT, and the phone arrives in stores Friday, October 23 (MacRumors).
Price: $1,999 for 256GB, up to $3,199 for 2TB.
Key specs (Apple): 7.6-inch inner screen and 5.4-inch cover screen, both 120Hz ProMotion; A20 Pro chip; 48MP main and 48MP ultrawide cameras; Touch ID in the side button; IP68; eSIM only; iOS 27.1.
Colors: star white and night sky.

OnePlus 16 (October 12, China)

Confirmed by OnePlus: Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, a 6.78-inch 1.5K screen at 165Hz (185Hz in games), a 200MP main camera, a 9,000mAh battery and 50W wireless charging.
Leaks: a 1/1.4-inch main sensor, a 50MP 3x periscope, a 50MP ultrawide and 100W wired charging.
Price: not announced. Tipster Digital Chat Station expects around CNY 5,000 (about $700).

OPPO Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max (global October 21, India October 28)

OPPO launched the Find X10 series in China on September 22. The global launch date of October 21 comes from the terms of OPPO's UK pre-order coupon (via Notebookcheck and Android Headlines). The October 28 India date is a tip from Yogesh Brar, reported by Digit. OPPO hasn't confirmed either date.

Find X10 (China specs): 6.59-inch 144Hz screen, Dimensity 9600M, a 200MP main camera, a 200MP 2.8x periscope, a 50MP ultrawide and an 8,000mAh battery. It starts at CNY 5,499.

Global prices (leak): Android Headlines reports €1,499 for the Find X10 and €1,799 for the Pro Max in Europe. It also says the European models have a smaller 7,150mAh battery.

vivo X Fold6 (India, October 6)

vivo announced the global X Fold6 on October 1 and will launch it in India at its vivo NEXT 2026 event on October 6 at 12 p.m. IST (GSMArena).

8.02-inch inner and 6.51-inch cover screens, both LTPO AMOLED at up to 120Hz
Dimensity 9500 Super Edition
200MP main, 50MP ultrawide and 50MP 3x periscope cameras
6,900mAh battery (global), 80W wired and 40W wireless charging

India price: not announced. Leaks range from about Rs 1,59,999 to Rs 2,19,999.

vivo V80 (India, October 6)

vivo confirmed the October 6 date for the V80, along with its main features (GSMArena):

6.59-inch 1.5K OLED, 144Hz, 5,000 nits peak
7,200mAh battery with 90W charging, the biggest yet in a V-series phone
ZEISS co-developed cameras
Colors: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black

Leaks: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, a 50MP 3x telephoto, a 50MP selfie camera, IP68 and IP69, and Android 17 with OriginOS 7. The leaked India prices are Rs 63,000 / 70,000 / 80,000 for 128GB / 256GB / 512GB (about $657 / $730 / $834).

Should you care in the US? No. It is a mid-range India phone. It does show where mid-range phones are going: 7,000mAh+ batteries and real telephoto lenses at mid-range prices. vivo V80 spec page.

vivo S2 FE (India, October 6)

The S2 FE launches alongside the V80 and will be sold on Flipkart. Its specs are still leaks, and reports don't fully agree:

OPPO F35 and F35 Pro (India, October 5)

OPPO set October 5 for the F35 series in India. What OPPO has said:

The Pro has a 50MP ultrawide front camera with a 100-degree field of view.
It records 4K video from both the front and rear cameras.
Colors: Orange, Light Blue and Matte Black for the Pro; light pink and light blue for the F35.

The leaks don't agree. 91mobiles points to a Dimensity 7360 Max, an 8,000mAh battery and 80W charging for the Pro. GSMArena reported that the F35 Pro may be a rebranded OPPO A7 Pro Max with a 10,000mAh battery. On price, 91mobiles reports an expected selling price of Rs 44,000–50,000 for the F35 Pro and around Rs 37,999 for the F35.

vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max: vivo's European launch event is October 27, with sales from November 5 (GSMArena). They launched in China in late September.
Motorola Signature 27: Announced September 22 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main camera, a 200MP periscope and 7 years of updates. Motorola says it will come to North America "in the coming months" (9to5Google), and PhoneArena reports more US details in November. No US price yet. This is the Android flagship US buyers should watch.

FAQ

Which new phones can I buy in the US in October 2026?
The iPhone Duo is the only major new phone with a confirmed US launch this month. It arrives in stores on October 23.

Is the OnePlus 16 coming to the US?
No. OnePlus said in July it will no longer launch new products in North America.

When does the OPPO Find X10 launch globally?
October 21 is the expected date, based on OPPO's UK pre-order terms. OPPO hasn't officially confirmed it, and the phones won't be sold in the US.

What is the cheapest foldable launching this month?
Neither big foldable is cheap. The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999, and the vivo X Fold6's India price hasn't been announced.

Bottom line

If you are in the US, mark three dates: October 12 (iPhone Duo Get Ready), October 16 (pre-orders) and October 23 (in stores). Everything else this month is a preview of where Android is going: 9,000mAh batteries, 185Hz screens and three 200MP cameras on one phone. For a US Android flagship with that kind of hardware, keep an eye on the Motorola Signature 27.
